I'd dump everyone of those but apple.
WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY too much exposure in speculative MOMO stocks. I think many of these situations are not necessarily having the/a position in these as much as it is the position size that is hurting. A little for upside potential is OK in my opinion. Banking on them is dangerous to a portfolio.
And don't sell XLK.jwhitlock3 said:Jet Black said:

Based on what? Continued downturn in the next week or two? No chance of a BTC run to salvage anything? Some legislation coming that makes materials plays like DNN and WWR invalid? Seems like a broad generalization to dump all names except Apple unless your time horizon is less than 2 weeks.

I've been working on balancing my portfolio more after seeing what happened in March.
What do you think is suitable overall for allocation of the portfolio in speculative / growth stocks like these?
I've tried to get everything down to 1% of portfolio but also staring at the overall balance and asking myself "what's healthy?"

Had some covered 7.5c fill for 4/16 too. Someone priming for a run this week?

0.05. I just stuck the sell out at market hoping to capture stupid premium.
I think TSLA sees over $720 this week. $718 is the macro moveFJ43 said:

I grabbed a couple at $8.20 for the ride. Think this captures the 100 SMA today which may help be in business.Irish 2.0 said:I think TSLA sees over $720 this week. $718 is the macro moveFJ43 said:

Yep, I'm going to look to pare stuff back more in May, especially on some of these highly volatile stocks. I have significant realized gains for 2021 right now anyways and so taking some loss wouldn't kill me$30,000 Millionaire said:
I haven't done one of my PSAs in a while, but here goes:
I think each of us has about a month to take a hard look at our portfolio and right size it for an inevitable large correction downwards that could start as soon as June, but likely is more of a July/August thing. I believe we will go up at least through early May.

or maybe a bear flag perhaps
Without knowing which ones you are bagholding on it is hard to say. Especially since so many are PR driven. You can always sell covered calls against the position for some cash flow and to reduce yuor cost average.RigsTx said:
So as another poster said earlier, I am a little too heavily invested in MOMO stocks and I want to pare down the portfolio sooner rather than later especially based on 30k's prediction.
What would the recommendation be on waiting and see if we have a little bit of a runup over the next few weeks or start cutting bait now and just take the L?
I'm definitely bag holding on a few of these right now, but if a larger correction is coming I don't want to hold too long.
This would also give me a way to reallocate into a more balanced portfolio.
I'm looking at the MVIS $15 Apr covered call, can still get $0.35-$0.40 for it$30,000 Millionaire said:
this week is going to be like a -3% loss for me with some stuff at max loss. I generally don't do so hot on OPEX weeks anyway, so I am basically just collecting some theta and getting ready to resell covered calls.
