Not specific to Bitcoin but to me the play with a ton of upside is Ethereum. Bought several last week and although around 2100 per it has potential to have a Bitcoin like explosion in the near future.

Other than a select few, the crypto stock plays that 'feed' off of BTC movement have been hit or miss. Many are speculative in nature but could have upside. BTC can move and many of them don't.

There are multiple crypto plays that if you chart like a stock are easy to play. BAT-USDC, CVC-USDC, XLM-USD just to name a few in addition to BTC-USD & ETH-USD. There are a bunch. Percentage wise some of these others have greater % moves to play. They often follow BTC but ETH tends to be its own animal.

I use Coinbase Pro & TradingView platforms and apply basic TA patterns, volume and RSI.

If investing long and 'forget' about it, I like ETH and BTC with ETH being my primary. However I am making sure I have "Net Free" in the little guys also. Your never know.

Just my 2 cents and they are too much fun 24/7.

VYGVF is not a miner. Coinbase (COIN, direct listing this week) is much larger more mature but would be a better comparison to VYGVF.

Not an expert at this by any means but Coinbase vs Coinbase Pro fee structures are different. Overall fees are lower on Coinbase Pro, no commissions and you pay a lower fee for Limit vs Market orders. I only use limit set at buy and sell technical levels anyway. I guess if it was running quick I'd use a market order.

I think the fees you pay are primarily miner fees. .15-.5% each way. I calculate 1% round trip to cover on swings. So if I want quick swings and want 5%, I target 6% cost t sell. Same on stops. I add in 1% on setting Stop Loss Limit orders.

You can also connect to earn interest on crypto you hold.

MARA is the only one I play now...and I'll echo some of what FJ said.

I've played MARA a bunch though, so I generally just trade levels and get in, get out, wait for a dip, get back in. I also trade it based on what bitcoin has been doing. Bitcoin has been basing below 60k for a good while now, it will break out upward again soon.

With MARA (and any crypto stock play) the markets also have to hold. I won't be bag holdinga bunch of it when SPX is 4200 (I will have my net free shares, but that's it). Also the premiums on MARA on selling cc's (when it runs) is awesome. I've made out well on those.

Anyone have experience with the Cryptowatch Platform?

I think you can API link your Coinbase Pro account and Cryptowatch so you can use their charting tools, buy/sell, etc. in one spot.

I'll definitely look into that. Just got my first cold wallet this week.

Just watched a few videos on it. If I could connect my Coinbase Pro and TradingView I would be done. But you can't. Yet.

Trying to fine tune 'one spot' to go and trade this stuff. If it costs be a bit more but saves time, has the charting/technical analysis tools, buy/sell, etc that is about all I am looking for at the moment.

Yesterday made 4 round trips (buy/sell) and 2 one ways (one sell and one buy which I hold now) on one crypto at technical levels intraday. All off alerts and a phone app (Coinbase Pro) after I set them on Trading View. I didn't set orders in advance but alerts for now to see how efficient it works.

We shall see. This is probably not a good habit for me. Big boy video game is what Mrs FJ calls it now.
