I'm not a technical expert on this, but my understanding is it is low cost, portable and easily deployable in emerging markets.

I can't wrap my head around an imaging machine that costs 10K. We are going to find out soon if it catches fire.

Think globally with this too. Will it replace the machines in US hospitals? Maybe not. Does it provide a cheaper viable alternative for third world countries and countries with socialized medicine that currently have 6 week waits for non-emergent X-rays? Maybe.

A $20k-30k x-ray unit is cheap. Some of our more Basic rooms are 125k plus. Looks like they have a CT or that is their x-ray device. The current x-ray tubes on CT can go over 100k by themselves. Gonna to research this a bit more me thinks.

You're like me. You hate losing more than you like winning.

My wife thinks it's unhealthy at times, but I disagree. It just drives me more.

It's also why I have little tolerance for roughly 90-95% of society. I mean, I'm kind to most (in person), but if I get the slightest sniff of the victim mindset (mainly excuse making as to why something can't be done or why something did happen), I'm probably going to keep you at arms length in terms of an actual relationship.

I tell my kids to NOT fit in. Don't be like your peers, be much better and that often requires you to not go with the flow.

Warning long post on Zest:

Don't have much of a ZEST update but I was in Little Rock Monday until yesterday to sit through the trial we were told it would be open but that we would have to step out for certain parts. We weren't allowed in at all but we were able to see somewhat what's going on.

Peter Mehring the creator of Zest and also negotiated the deal with Walmart was on the stand for 3 1/2 days. The trial is supposed to be wrapped up by the end of next week but with him taking so long I bet it's early the following week if an announcement doesn't come beforehand that it's settled before a verdict is reached. Each side had 6 or 7 lawyers plus advisors etc. Greg Foran's deposition was played for the jury yesterday afternoon. Greg Foran was credited with Walmart's turnaround after becoming CEO and resigned 1 week after giving his deposition on the Zest case.

Next up is supposed to be the Walmart employee Josh Bohling who filed the patent for what is a replication of Zest. Things should be getting interesting right now. Court is open and still going on today.

I was able to read 95 pages of pretrial documents that can only be read at the courthouse. One of the takeaways was the Zest lawyers telling the judge that Bohling's testimony would be "stunning" for the jury to see how this was replicated.

Will update if I find out more.

I still consider commodity futures as being beyond my skill level and I largely don't dabble in index futures beyond occasionally shorting VIX. Also a downside to Fidelity and why I need to bite the bullet and either go TOS or IKBR. I would like to learn to trade crude.

ETH - I think it goes past $2100. Nice charts
- How do you know that it the top of the model T?
- Is it worth trading if it just goes down $30? I think the commissions are too high to trade it without $100 swings.

Been in over a year and a lot have been in a lot longer than that. Not selling it this late in the game. In my opinion Zest is going to win. It's just a matter of how much at this point.

When I opened my office in 1983 (single practice orthopedic surgeon, then) I took out a lone of approximately 100K to have an in-house xray- that included the machine, table, and the lead-lined walls- that hurt!. This unit will be great for individual offices (probably not hospitals)- Very many do not have there own xray capabilities.

Model T - When you have a rise up then pivot you use the lowest point prior to rise and the highest point at the pivot to determine the bottom and tops. This can be applied on 1 min all the way to daily or even weekly/monthly charting. Easiest thing to apply. Fib tool gets you basically the same.

Here is a link with fees on Coinbase Pro anyway.. Not sure what Gemini or the others charge.

https://help.coinbase.com/en/pro/trading-and-funding/trading-rules-and-fees/fees

I use this more for a Redler type approach using technical support/resistance and typical TA then applying the Tier adds and trims vs. true scalping. Although the run up today didn't hurt.

I am pretty new to the crypto markets and just applying basic TA to the charts for buys and sells. Not overthinking it too much.

Nope didn't come back to MT #2 and had continuation.

Sorry but learning a new charting platform and having some fun. Hope I'm not driving y'all nuts.

I left MT #1 and MT #2 for y'all. Then set a Fib overlay so you can see the match ups. Pretty cool how all this works mathematically.

Now according to Fib it should bounce at 2151.06 if it makes it there. The yellow horizontal line is one I drew quickly to see if it retraces and pivots there which is close to top of MT or Fib 100% level. Also was prior resistance which may be new support level.

If it continues I will trim at just below 2151.06. If retraces I will sell all at about 2101 (my yellow line) if it doesn't pivot back up.

#SHBM

Edit: by the time I finished this it is making its way north to 2151.

I like it. It has some good tools and charting stuff. Lots of community built programs too. I found one that builds a "model T" for you basically. It's pretty simple, but finds low and high for the time frame, then plots both and the middle.

Good stuff and keep em coming.

Yes, the x-ray machines will be cheaper and smaller. If it has the same resolution - and the single source approval by the FDA indicates that its resolution is good enough for what it's used for - then no one is going to buy a traditional machine unless they're contractually bound to.

I would anticipate seeing orders flowing in for this device now that it is approved.

The next thing, the bigger thing, is the multisource FDA approval, which would be next. That would mean their CT scanner is approved. The cost difference on that is much bigger, meaning the sales for that would be huge.

As for when these orders will come in, no hospital is going to replace their current machines for this just because it's smaller and cheaper. What will happen is that when the life of a currently used machine at a hospital is ended, they'll order this as a replacement. New buildings will order this from the start, and depending on the footprint of the machines, you might see more freestanding small places install these.

Lots of foreign country orders as well, given the relative smaller cost. Places that couldn't afford a traditional CT scanner will be able to purchase these.

Yep but new to it. I'll have to play with it more but its pretty easy and quick to use. I am sure it does a ton such as the MT tool you mention. Have no clue where that is at yet or what it is called.

I had the free version but not a fan of the adds you have pop up all the time and also wanted some additional charting tools.

There are already orders for 5100 units in foreign countries and I believe a similar number in US PENDING FDA approval.... which we got today.

Now for the rest of the process... there's still some risk here but it's much lower now.

TradingView Users....

If you are using the TradingView platform, I know several on here use Rispter's EMA 10 Min Clouds study/indicator for swings, scalps, etc. and it is available automatically on TradingView. It is a very useful tool in addition to Bollinger Bands for this type of trading.

It is located under the Indicators icon then type in Ripster in the Search bar and you'll see several to choose from.

Ripster EMA Clouds is the one I am referring to.

I have friends that own physical gold. I'm slowly looking into it. Seems like a good alt investment that would lower portfolio volatility, instead of increase it like more exposure to crypto.

My hesitation is (ignorance) over selling it. I once took a ring to a place to sell it as gold and was told "we don't pay that price for 'scrap' gold". Lol. So, if I own it and want to sell it will someone buy it at the "going rate" or am I gonna get a song and dance"? Probably would help if I lived in a big city.

I did the trial, but did not renew. He has some good stuff, but I just don't have the time. Also, I find that if I look at too many sources, I get confused trying to process the different approaches.

And just in case, I am NOT one of the McGinnis's.

I have 2500 oz of silver in bars and coins. I don't know that it will ever be useful, but I kinda have it for the same reason I stockpile ammo. If there comes a time I need one of them, I'm gonna need the other as well.

I'm not sure it's an "investment strategy," as much as an "emergency preparedness plan."
