The resistance line is up over $13 and if I use the spike on 12/24 and the low 3/5 the MT is about $15.77. So target for underlying would be the MT which is well ITM but so would anything close to resistance.

Okay. I use the Fib retrace tool in SSE and I think I see the 50% at $14.81 area. High on 12/24, low on 3/5 right? Doing the math between the two gets the retrace mark to $15.00 area. What am I missing with the MT method?

You've got it. The Fib and MT are very close ton one another as far the the 50% retrace mark. I just did a quick grab on a Daily but if I were to use the 1 Min or 5 Min it would be more exact. A butterfly is a play in which your goal is to have the equity move to the center of your fly at the time of expiration......this is how you get max payout.
If you take a directional bias with it, in this case I'm going bullish on TSLA, I want it to trend in my direction over time so that my value increases.
Here's how it works here.
A) I bought 780calls for 9APR21. If TSLA moves in the upward direction, my call value here INCREASES making me money.
B) I SOLD two 830calls for 9APR21. If TSLA moves in the upward direction, these values will ALSO increase, albeit at a slightly lesser rate of speed than the 780's.
C) I bought 880calls for 9APR21. These will behave like "A", only they'll adjust slowest of all at this point.
(Assumption, TSLA goes up, because if it goes down, these go to zero slowly minus a total collapse)
Outcomes:
1) TSLA increases in value over time but not above 780, I may still be able to come away with a small profit as the 830's and 880 go to zero before 780 would.
2) TSLA ends somewhere between 780 & 880 at expiration, I make bank minus the $4.50 I paid to enter this play (I close these early and do not truly let them expire)
3) TSLA shoots 880 at expiration, Maybe I get some increase in value and close prematurely as I notice the accelaration in the equity price. I'm likely able to make at least some small profit here, or maybe a small loss.
4) TSLA moves down from here. I either go to zero or salvage what I can.

I asked about SINO a couple of times in the last big dip and no one responded so I didnt buy even though I was tempted to do it because I was concerned I was missing something. It was right at $5 when I asked first, then at $4.80 or so when I asked again. Both times I took the lack of response as a sign not to buy. I got myself into some bad positions because I let FOMO set in and I was afraid of doing that again.
Then today I was watching SINO and SOS and ALMOST bought into both, but I was expecting things to go south after Powell spoke and didnt, only to have them jump. I am getting better at not being so reactionary like I was, but i think I have allowed a little self doubt and fear to creep in since I have made so many mistakes in buying.
Lesson is when you feel convicted to do it. Do it. Mistakes happen but I guess its better to have bought under conviction than not play out of fear.

I figure the difference between 14.81 and 15.02 is really negligible since the trade is CC which doesn't know the difference between 14.50 and 15.00 and not the stock itself.
Or am I divorcing the two too much?

True but also don't dwell on trades you should have made. There is always another trade.

am close at seeing the various resistance levels at 9, 10.80, 11.45, 12.30, 13.30 and 14?
I was way too heavy in it by the time it dove to the $6s so my avg cost is super high, like $13.75

On this one anything at $12.50 pretty soon and above will be a solid payday. It is buying calls not a covered call so all we need is it to move that way in the next 10-14 days decently and they will be up nicely.

Busy f'ing day at work. 50 min Marathon repeats on the treadmill for lunch. Opened SPY 294 this morning with a quick stop hook. Saw the SPY rebound hard. Bought the $400c for $0.78, ATP was crashing, bought it again for $0.77 ATP continued to crash. Bought for $082 on my phone. Thinking the first 3 orders didn't go through. Got on a conference call at 2. Freaking out I had bought 90 calls on accident I closed 60 for a profit. Closed the other 30 for a nicer profit. All in made $1000 in like 3 minutes of atp crashing, joining a conference call and a minor freak out when I realized all 3 order did in fact go through.
