I'm putting on some Friday SPX hedges, flys pinned at 3940, 20 wide. $1.90 ea. Seems anytime the fed talks, we go roller coastering.

Anybody thinking of putting some throwaway money on GME calls this week? I was thinking of the 250 for $13.
Interesting.. they're just putting the cost on the employees then, that sucks. But yeah you are right, I think we could see that being something offered up by companies competing for talent going forwardD2F1D0 said:
surprisingly little. I have a few family members who work for two of the MNO tech companies. Once is getting slight compensation for increased utility usage (on the plain of $300 a year for internet and electricity increases) and other others are getting.... zilch, nada, nuhuh, nope, 'scotty no', ain't happening. What will be telling is when they, or their co-workers, start seeing opportunities with any form of remote worker benefit.
My house has the second category, but she loves her job (sorry, no rule one), her immediate manager, and co-workers so she will stay put for now. Now, if she has enough benefits thrown at her by another software engineering department who knows what she will decide.

For the SPY trading crew, what would be a good strike for Friday for puts as a hedge? 394?
I'm really surprised Robinhood hasn't found a way to do fractional options contracts yet. Imagine the accounts they could blow up then!!AggieChemist said:You mean I can't buy just 1?Irish 2.0 said:$1300 is throw away money?AggieChemist said:

I have been holding off SPY trades so far this week. the range is too tight. If anything Id be trying to pin SPY in the low 390s but thats too much risk for meAG 2000' said:

I chose 3940 based on the gamma article I read monday stating that they felt that the Gamma magnet would be about 3945 give or take.
I went to the Friday (NOT AM, those expire before market open) options for SPX and chose to buy the 3920put, sell two 3940puts, and buy at 3960put.
My max profit would be if we close at 3940 on SPX at end of day friday, a modest pullback from where we are now. Since I paid $1.90 to open these, I'm basically in profit at >3922 but <3938. Anything in the middle is profitable for me.
Now since this is a hedge, I went small, it's $1.90 to possibly return $20 but should be profitable if we pull back and stay a bit down by Friday.
I've been buying the 395s at lows then trimming some for profit on way down. Round tripping them scalping profits but will leave some on as a hedge.AG 2000' said:

When you see prints like that on names you don't usually see, then you might get a little excited and do some more digging and chart analysis.
