OA is going look over his thread before Monday to see what stocks we like and see 4 pages of comments about half naked hot women and I bet he thinks something like this:

Anyone who is much smarter than me and know what they're doing with charts have any advice on AMD's movement? Last three months have been up and down with an overall downward trend.

Anyone have any thoughts on AAPL LEAPS?

March 2023 100c for $38.

I don't have a whole lot of experience with LEAPS.

Wwr looking like a reversal? Downward volume dried up, tricksy move?

Wondering if I should be buying some 12.50 calls back at 80% gain and resell on the spike.

If you've got the patience to wait 2 years, why not just buy the stock?

You could buy and sell dips a dozen times between now and then.

On a stock like SNDL - I get it. But not on Fruit.

But then again, I started buying AAPL at 140, and bought all the way down to 130 where I ran out of cash. So what the F do I know.

Why do so many of you insist on calling AAPL fruit instead? It is longer and just sounds dumb. Are you the same people that yell VORE and crap like that?

Please explain it to me because I'm sure it isn't just trying to be cute.

Wielding Apple at $38 sounds nicer than $120.

Those leaps have $17 extrinsic, you can pay that off easily by selling way otm calls against the leap.

That's a great strategy that I hadn't thought about. Is that common with leaps?

A whole bunch of people had calls on AAPL that did not pay out. It seemed like anytime someone mentioned the price, AAPL dropped. So, people started calling it fruit instead to keep from jinxing it.

Apparently someone screwed up and called it Apple because otherwise it would have gone up.

You buy ATM or ITM leaps and on rips sell 1/2 to 1/3 the number of OTM calls with a shorter term to eat premium. If the stock jumps earlier than expected you still profit, if not you lower your net on the leaps.

This is a 30k move.

Yes every third time someone says AAPL or apple on this thread, the stock price drop 5 points. It's like Beatlejuice except there's no Gena Davis or goth Wynona Rider.

I tried to "hedge" my spec stocks by buying aapl, but found out it goes down too....

But it's also a long term (damn near guaranteed) hold.

So, I'm just out of cash, waiting on aapl to get above my avg in before selling. Of all bets, aapl regaining 12 bucks over time is about as sure as it gets. It's probably helping me because I've locked up 70% of my account in a stock I won't sell at a loss. It's frustrating to not be able to buy the stock of the day, but I'm also a novice and learn every day by watching this thread and OA's seminars.

When (not if) aapl gets to 150, and I start considering selling some, I'm gonna be much more knowledgeable about all this.

So, in a way, aapl is my piggy bank. It's terrible currently, but it's the king of stocks, and it might end up proving to be the best investment I ever made, since it kept me from doing dumb stuff when I didn't know what I was doing.

It's a love/hate relationship.

a 60k move is selling the stock short on rips and pocket 100% of the premium for every $1 pull back versus delta x $1.
