The value is to the downside on weeklies. If it sells of on the news, you can get some really wide put fly's for pennies on the dollar........then maybe it rallies in the weeks ahead (hence MAY 700c's?)

NVDA call was decent. I read the highlights. The Street is pretty much nitpicking every little thing and pricing in perfection. I am not sure what part they didn't like.

It was like AMD a couple of weeks ago. The only thing they could find wrong was that gross margins were not increasing. They weren't decreasing, just not increasing.

I am guessing the market feels that since there is such a demand for chips they should be raising prices and thus margins, which is the opposite with what generally happens to technology over time.

That said, I made money today on straight calls during the trip from 550 to 580 and got out before earnings. The options had a 3% move priced in after hours, and apparently it was for both ways!

Didn't play it but not difficult to predict. NVDA was in a box 500-550 for a long time. Then broke out without news. Makes sense to sell the news here.

AMC up 25%
I'm in at a cost share basis of $13.10 and I have no ****ing clue what to do right now
75 @ $12.19 here

300 @ 14.05

Hopefully the sequel for AMC is better than the first

I was in at cost basis of $13 (small holding in a "play account") and earlier this week did some quick math and figured I could get my money back by "tripling down".

So I tripled my holdings when it was in the $5.80 range earlier this week.

Was able to sell all the shares today and net a little profit - lol. I'll watch this one from the sidelines for a bit now.

Thanks! But I could not have done it without the help of this board and some people on here who told me to hold on for dear life with Roku back in March. Without OA1 and 59, my account would be 1/4th what it currently is. I give this board credit.

I don't get a lot of sleep worrying about my account swings but told myself I had a goal I wanted to hit before I start to derisk everything and I am not quite there yet.

Y'all are awesome.
This makes me wonder if anyone's willing to post the largest $ gain (not percentage) they've made either realized or currently unrealized based on a stock presented by OA1 or one of the other good Ags in here.

Cost basis of $40,000 in calls.

Cashed out $419,000. GILD

I still have 4,500 shares of GILD that I'm waiting to dump in a year or two when I believe it will be north of 150.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

1,500 shares of TSLA. Cost basis of $88

Sold 700 shares around $200. The remaining 500 were sold this year in the 800s.

300 shares left. TSLA is my bank when I have conviction in another boomer.

Based on my feelings on the blockchain stocks we have found sub 10, I believe a couple of those could be 5 baggers in the next 12-18 months. Mainly DPW and NXTD.

WWR is going to be a 3-5 bagger for most of us.

I missed MARA and sold MGNI way too early and that sucked for me, but I'm really happy to see most of y'all do well on that.

Speaking of...
I have a buddy who bought 20 gme weekly calls on Monday (not sure what strike) and sold at a loss. He's distraught
I think I'm gonna grab an 800c weekly at open just for s&g. My 3 shares i was holding for posterity would be nice at 10k, but an 800c would be worth 120k, that's a real nice boat!

A significant portion of my current net work originated with buying $2C on Citigroup when it went down to $0.90/share in early 2009. I had just gotten a sales commission check and I backed up the truck in a grossly irresponsible manner. That trade made me a millionaire.

Yeah we all have irresponsible trades in our first few years of trading existence. Yours was a grand slam.

In hindsight, it was so stupid. I would never do it now, but that's also why i'm not making 20% account gains week to week either!

The user name is really a multi layered self effacing joke. My starting salary out of A&M was around that and I lived super foolishly - major credit card debt, leased an E320, bought Armani clothes, the whole 9 yards. I got to a point where I had $20K in credit card debt, could barely afford the minimums, and was generally stressed about money. I "pulled myself up by the boot straps" and dug myself out. I also wanted to poke at the typical Dallas people that act that way.

I got started with about $100K. I had a couple of big wins / bonuses / share vestings and put those into the market. I started with penny stocks and stupid OTM calls / puts.
