Either I'm misunderstanding what you did, or you're misunderstanding net free.

I'm guessing you ended up paying more in order to buy back the Feb $1.50 and sell Mar $4 (right now it'd be a .20 debit in order to execute that spread roll).

I'm assuming you are saying that you would be net free IF the calls are exercised at $4 in March. If that is the case, I definitely wouldn't consider that being net free in the current state.

Not trying to rain on your parade or saying the actions you took were wrong, just wanting to make sure you're understanding the concept correctly.

It was a solid 4 business days before they pulled my securities over. It has been 10 days and I still do not have my cost basis transferred over and they. They did not transfer my cash balance till day 7 and they sold my partial shares on day 8 but have not transferred the funds over.

I probably would have bought more CLOV with those funds if they had sent them early in the week so maybe they saved me from myself.

This is probably where you set yourself up for failure. Buying call options isn't a lock trade. You can achieve great payouts in short order, but you're not going to hit every single one.

TRXC. He wanted a lesson on spreads so I kind of gave him some strikes I thought could work, but he executed like a champ.

He bought the MAR $5c for $1.45 at open. Less than an hour later he sold the MAR $6c for $1.60 or something like that. So he now has 5/6 spreads that he received $.15 for. Now he can just wait and watch, or close as desired.

I was late getting in on this so I never got in Feb calls (until today for cheap), but if I did have calls for 2/19 or similar expiry, I would have been thinking about rolling them out to March some time around Feb 9. Go back and look at Feb 8-10. It really looked like manipulation to me and there were so many lower strikes with massive call volume. I would have derisked a bit by giving it more time at the expense of losing some upside.

Then I would have blown that preserved capital on TSLA yolo gambles. Apparently that's who I am and what I care about.
