Hard to buy back a call that netted me premium of 16% of my original cost But March is a long way away and I'd love to roll it up into a 17.5 or higher call.
Don't have IBKR but maybe you didn't have after hour or extended setting correctly set and it just sold it when the market opened at $3.96... just my guess

I now own about 10 stocks I had never heard of before last week which is crazy. I am trying to figure out where everyone finds these, and I am guessing Twitter and similar. SNDL, MVIS, BLNK, REI, RUN, CLOV, CRBP, FUBO, REI, RUN, GSAT, KIQ. I did get involved with some fruit stock of some sort, which has kinda turned out to be a downer.
The options strategies have been gold! I knew about them, but had never gotten around to doing Covered Calls or "buying" a stock by selling puts. I had just bought naked upside calls or downside puts, and pretty much watched most of them expire worthless. Conversely, I had 10,000 shares of SNDL put to me last Friday at an effective price of $1.15 and here we are. I sold them at $4.20 (of course) this morning. I was reading cautionary tales all over the place and decided to go with the bird in the hand. Also sold half of my MVIS at $20.60. I had sold covered calls on both of those but bought them back earlier this week on strength. I would love to take credit for "knowing stuff" but that was nothing more than a lucky guess.
I am long term AMD and have been for a while. It isn't going to double or triple overnight, but the last few years have been consistently great.

Quick question for you guys that are good at managing your cash in your acct. Was sitting about 12% this morning and used a good portion of that to buy back CC's. Would you just wait it out or should I look to lower some of my positions to recapture the cash into the account. Sitting at 2-3% now. Wanted to end the week at 20%.
Maybe look to pick up some options March or May to have a reentry if you want back in outside of the wash sale rule. Just a thought.howdydamnit04 said:

I bought some $TRIT and sold equivalent numbers of 2/19 7.5 puts for $0.70.
This $7.50 level is holding pretty well and setting up and inverse H&S. If not, next level down is about $6.80, or $7.50 - 0.70 for you mathematically challenged folk.
btw if inverse H&S were to play out, you're looking at 12-13 area. I'd sell covered calls and/or shares there to get the cost basis down quick.

uhh yeh.. $5k of AMD in 2/2016 would be $250k today.Quote:

That's about the best 5 year return you can get.
About the only one better I can find is EXPI. $5k of that in 2/2016 is ~$1m today.
