So, an opening for a specific protocol to be developed via an alt coin that doesn't reduce your current position but instead holds the spent amount converted into a percentage of BTC owned, and the payment is taken out of monthly gains. If BTC doesn't go up enough a "minimum " relative to amount owed would be deducted. So, a person would have e percentage on crypto frozen until payment is made from gains or enough minimums are taken.

Just an idea. Keeps crypto position intact at least 30 days with minimums or gains being deducted until balance is paid. At that point the frozen percentage is released.

I think this is where Bitcoin Cash comes into play (possible Ethereum). More conducive to day-to-day transactions.

Definitely feel late to the party on MVIS.

FOMO or is there an entry point? Still learning pattern trading, but the news doesn't seem to present entry opportunity.

It's a currency/good exchange. It is no different than what is espoused on this forum everyday.

Anytime you exchange goods you take a chance on your goods being devalued vs the goods you trade with increasing in value.

BTC is no different

Sorry, it isn't the same thing. Does the value of a dollar increase/decrease by 20-25% in a given day?

Of course not, but I imagine as this becomes more mainstream, prices might stabilize a bit more.

My guess is more like the metals perform. Again, take my opinion for what its worth, absolutely nothing. I am far from a crypto or hard currency expert.

Keeping an eye on this one.

WARM (Cool Technologies Inc) out of Florida.

" An innovator and intellectual property company focused on environmentally friendly mobile power generation, and heat removal technologies".

Currently $.032 a share.

90 day Volume : 5.6 million
Today's volume: 20.9 million

Today (2/10/21) the CEO released a newsletter to share holders detailing some of the stuff they're working on.

Some highlights:

" A new aspect of our mobile power generation is its ability to support the Electrical Vehicle (EV) market. An MG System can charge an EV very quickly making CoolTech enabled trucks a key asset in the field as we move toward adoption of EV fleets across the world. New cars from Porsche and Audi, for instance, claim to be able charge at higher power rates (375 kW for Porsche). This requires a sophisticated battery management system and more power to charge them via upgrades to the local grids. CoolTech's MG System can accommodate ultra-fast chargers of 300 kW or more, for these advanced EVs without reliance on the grid."

- all projects previous to COVID are back on track.
- they are back ordered.

" With our technology developed, IP protection in place and a backlog of orders, our focus is now on securing funding to execute on our business. I am happy to say that we have found a financing arrangement that we believe we should be able to provide a debt facility based on the value of our IP and the orders that we have in hand. While we cannot disclose details at this time about this potential funding, our efforts have focused on a non-dilutive funding that would build shareholder value and we will provide details as soon as we can. As usual, we are providing the usual caveats that nothing is done until its done, but we are optimistic given the recent developments in these funding efforts."

- Looks like they are about to secure solid funding from somewhere other than offerings to "build share holder value".

To me this seems very promising, but thought I would throw it out here to see what our trading experts thought of it.

Providing my thoughts on some of the most recent moves with WWR, SNDL, CLOV, UWMC, MVIS (amongst others):

  • Rule 1- Go net free and don't get too stressed if you get called on on some of your covered calls if that helps you achieve net free (it is a balancing act that many on this board struggle with... some say 20-30% CCs and some go 50% plus on CCs to lower their cost average as soon as possible)
  • Rule 2- Everyone on this board has a different strategy in terms of what it means to them to hold something long term after they are net free to "let it ride." Example: Many rode net free on MGNI and trimmed pretty heavy in the high teens and low 20s. Hard to know MGNI would be in the 60s this quickly and still running at this point. Are you really upset if you go net free on a stock in less than 1-3 months? MVIS, SNDL, WWR are more recent ones where it was pretty easy to achieve this without even using the puts and CC strategy.
  • Rule 3- Know your risk profile. If you are extremely worried about a stock moving up and down on a daily basis... you may want to trim the size of that position (unless you are watching the "fruit" stock for Feb and March calls haha...guilty)
  • Rule 4- Build capital and preserve capital. Atlas boys are fun to watch, but if my accounts are going up 100% in a matter of a week or two... I'm probably taking extremely large positions in stocks... that could ultimately go the wrong way and blow up my account. Nothing wrong with that if you view this board as a means to gamble stocks, but I'm personally trying to build a base and build as many net free positions as possible
  • Rule 5- This is an interesting time in the market and doubling up to go net free in a matter of days or weeks is not the norm. Have patience if you are going to be in longer MA stocks
  • Rule 6- Don't ask about model T unless you read and review page 1 (haha had to throw that in there)
  • Rule 7- Cash is king and gives you the opportunity to make great plays if you are patient.

Now for my humor/boneheaded notes on a few that everyone can laugh at:

  • MVIS- Dove in this pretty heavy and thought I had time to work the covered calls heavier (on 75% of my position). It started with Feb CCs, then up and out to March, and so on and now I am sitting August $18 calls that are going to look pretty red in the morning. Will have to see if I can diamond hand that one on a pullback.
  • SNDL- Sold $4 March CCs yesterday and this morning on 50% of my shares... wishing I would have waited longer on that one, but I am happy to take profit. In all fairness, I was rolling up and out of my $2.5 Feb calls so there was some benefit to doing this (timing just sucked to get some extra premium).
  • MARA- yea... I don't want to talk about my March $9 CCs that are still sitting on 75% of my shares... didn't know that one would run that quickly and didn't monitor it close enough

Don't get upset about taking/making profit.... take it... and put that money back to work be even better on the next one. Big thank you to everyone on this board!

I think the concept you're getting at is that of a "StableCoin". Crypto coins that are tied to the value of a reserve currency. That enables the Stablecoin to be used as a transactional mechanism, with all the benefits that entails, without beong exposed to the valuation swings of a coin like BTC.

JP Morgan Chase is working on this with one called JPM Coin pegged to the USD. I think Goldman is working on one too. Seems to me like they're positioning themselves to be in the drivers seat to handle large scale interbusiness transactions and cash transfers in the near future.

There's probably some who know a lot more about it on this board than me though.

People...aka wallstreetbets...are going to buy the **** out of it to force the price up fast. This hurts the people who are "short sellers" who have basically bet against a stock rising by selling shares they don't currently own. The goal is to force the short sellers to actually buy shares to cover their previously sold position. That then makes more people buying...which drives the price up even more. The short sellers are then buying stock above the price they sold it for creating a loss for them but they are stick and have no choice.
In short it artificially drives up price of stock really quick. But it will also come crashing down quick
Go look up GME chart for last 1 month and you'll see it having just happened.

I also own ASO and have small position of 100 shares. I sold a CC against it hoping to lower cost but I truly believe in ASO long term. I will be buying back my call even at loss to see where this action goes. Maybe even sell my shares if it rockets to pocket profit and then wait until it crashes down to re-enter

Did you sell a stock, then buy a stock with those funds before they cleared, then sold the stock that you bought with the uncleared funds before your original stock sell cleared. If you did you may have violated their ToS and be on a 90 day restriction.

I made that mistake, fortunately, that was on Fidelity. I have been watching myself on IAB from doing that, but they seem to be quicker about cash coming in from sell orders, they just want you to have 10% equity of cash on your total trades I believe.
