Which dates & strikes do you have?
2/19 $12.5s
I left all my $12.50s. Decay will get those unless a big move here and just capture 100% of premium. If I got called away for $12.50+ premium then I will be ok with that batch.
Same logic here. Fairly unlikely you'll be able to sell at that strike for that premium again (I hope I'm wrong). You could MAYBE grind out another nickel or dime, but I'm not trying it.

We'll ***** $LADR has gone down just below the 5-day moving average. I think it did this because I decided to share. I'm hoping it finds some support here or at least at the 9ema of 10.19. I still feel good about this one, but the volume has been pretty decent today so I'm not completely discounting this red day.

What do you guys think about AMD calls going into earnings if it gets over 90.50 today?

This has been on my to-do list to look at further. I think there's a play on AMD somewhere. They have done nothing but crush INTEL and I don't think that stops for a few more quarters.

Ok, want to run a hypothetical here. Not asking for a prediction on CLOV, just if this strategy makes sense. I already own CLOV by the way.

If I wanted to hedge a little with CLOV to add to my position, would it be prudent to buy FEB 19 12.5 P.

Thought being if it sky rockets, I will be in the money? If it falls to 12.5 and I get called, I get to buy more CLOV at $12.50 per share?
I think you'd sell the 2/19 12.5P (like if in an IRA and you have cash to do so), then when it rockets, these are worthless (and you bank the premium).

if in brokerage acct, sell the 12.5p naked and yes you could get called out and get some cheap shares, if not called out, pocket the premium, win win!

OA is doing this on XL, selling the 17.50P naked for big $. He either gets an entry of 12.50 or pockets the premium. Great play!

I was doing it in an IRA. Yep realized my error by saying buy after I typed that out. Got ya. Thanks!

So essentially selling puts if you have the cash to cover the purchase is a great way to use options to get shares at a discount. Sweet.

IG Group, they're out of England. Probably paid a premium and/or at the top given the retail involvement in the market right now, but good for TT.

Question for the group since I typically let me puts run closer to expiration before considering to buy those back. See below:

  • WWR- Sold Feb $5 Puts an cost average is $1.00
  • MVIS- Sold Feb $5 Puts at cost average of $0.91

Current value on those is sitting in the +/-$0.48 range. Is it worth the buy back to free up capital and do one of two options:

  • Hold to purchase other shares
  • Roll those out to March Puts

I would lean to sell March Puts since buying the Feb Puts back will take my cost average back up. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I think of selling puts in my IRA an entirely different way.

For me I use it as a way to a) get a premium and b) lock-up my cash so I can't get stupid with it elsewhere. I do this if I'm neutral-to-moderately bullish about a position. I'd rather not get executed, in fact, on that last day, I always buy it back. If at some point before expiration, my option is only worth pennies because the stock climbed, I buy it back and either get in something different or roll it forward a week.

Ditto here as well. Anybody have thoughts if this is mostly an Atlas boys pump and dump, or are we on the way to $3.00 (as was mentioned earlier:

Which brokerage group do you use that lets you sell puts for your IRA?

Agree, I think it falls more. I dumped my GBTC early this morning (was a small amount anyway); can buy it back later after things settle down.

Not sure. Not net free yet but I placed a stop limit at 1.40 to do so. Hoping that will allow me to go net free with fewer shares if it runs further but not miss the boat here on pump and dump.

We were in this before Atlas came on the scene for $CIDM. It may ebb and flow with these types though.

With $WWR, if this tops at 6.40 ish and comes back down to 5.90ish, do we think that sets a new accumulation box?
