PLTR at $18.20 premarket. Where is the ceiling?
We're in the wild, the market will help us find natural resistance. This isn't a virus/lockdown dependent play, and they are notoriously tight lipped on deal disclosure so I'm not expecting many flash headlines, but this is 2020 so who knows.
Recent headlines show a couple of funds taking a stake, that spurred us up over $16-$17.
from what I read he bought in 8 years ago and is trying to get out. Idk.Prognightmare said:If the reports are accurate, Soros is one of those groups and he took a big position. I am a bit hesitant as well. The AAII sentiment is extremely bullish (contrarian signal). Also, the smart vs dumb money shows we should be cautious.$30,000 Millionaire said:

How often are you guys riding options to 0? I know the idea is to only put up money you can lose, but I thought it was good risk management or capital preservation to set stops to get back at least 40-50% of capital?
Using $20k portfolio as round numbers:
If you're only willing to risk 5% and that's $1000, but you cap your loss at 50% you have a max risk of $500. That would be no different than limiting that to 2.5% and being willing to risk 100% loss. Any thoughts?
this was Roku for me. every time I got in I lost.jwhitlock3 said:
Also eye opening is how many times RKT got us...gonna start avoiding options on that cursed stock.
reminds me of CWH and OSTK, almost every time I tried to play them (options) I lost. Even when I see sweeps on OSTK now, I've noticed it only moves up a touch and then they cash out same day.jwhitlock3 said:

At least for the next month or so I'll be content to be fairly bullish. I feel comfortable that I'm hedged enough with SPXS calls to limit damage if there's a substantial drop. If there's a 10% drop I'm probably eating that, but I feel like I have at least as good of a chance for 10% gains over that time as I do for a drop that big. I'm not arguing with anyone here, especially the more experienced guys like you, but that's my $0.02.Harkrider 93 said:I am a bit hesitant as well. The AAII sentiment was historically bearish in March and look how that turned out. I don't see a massive drop (nor do the traders I follow), but they are cautious.
I agree. I am using cash to buy dips. There is too much cash on the sidelines for a big, prolonged dip.Bob Knights Liver said:At least for the next month or so I'll be content to be fairly bullish.
