Just donated and wanted to give McInnis another pat on the back. I mainly just lurk and enjoy reading and learning, but am always glad to give back when we make money.McInnis 03 said:If anyone is so inclined...Orlando Ayala Cant Read said:Post a charity you like. Know why I'm laughing? Because I barely own any of it. Figured it'd go back to zero so sold most of what I bought, treated it like a cheap option play.
I can think of many, but here is Eternal Anchor. It's a school on the Baja Peninsula in Mexico where they house children with special needs. Often times in impoverished Mexico these kids are seen as a curse from God and are not treated well. Eternal Anchor has live-in therapists (mostly Christian Missionaries of the medical field) that treat the kids for speech, physical, and occupational therapies and help create mobility solutions and teach the families and locals how to live and love in the way Jesus does. We have a special needs daughter so this organization has had a special place in our heart.

I like to think of myself as a "silent whale" on this board. I'm retired and have the luxury of having a lot of cash to play with. I started following the recommendations on this thread in April, and have averaged a 30% profit with an average holding period of 12 days.McInnis 03 said:
Wow. Thank you! Wasn't expecting such generosity. This will be a huge help to them.
Glad I've been any help. I'll keep it coming

Beats the hell out of the "buy and hold" philosophy I'd been following for most of my working years.
Not to worry, I went 90% to cash in early June and have been sleeping just fine...gig em 02 said:canagian said:I like to think of myself as a "silent whale" on this board. Be really careful because "since April" has been a good time to make money. If you get over confident it will be easy to risk too much and learn the hard way how fast you can lose money.

You might consider KMI. It has a great yield and isn't volatile.Philip J Fry said:
Curious where you think one should put cash in at a time like this. Definitely agree that the stock market is making me nervous right now.
