feeling strength today. the TICK cant' seem to get much into the negative. 3300+ close today for SPX?
I sold my SPY $326 calls for Friday for just over 3x what I bought them for last week. So SPX is definitely going to 3400 to punish me for my lack of faith.

On Apple, any of you think this is a reasonable way to look at it?

Before the split happens it'll continue to climb in anticipation of the split. Then once the split happens, and shares become more affordable it'll see another run up based on the new buyers coming in and picking it up? So potential for a double rocket of sorts there? Or am I missing something?

Last time it happened the run up was insane. I seem to remember it going up $10-30 per day, everyday, until it was in the 600s. All which happened very very quickly. Then after the split down to the $90s, obviously the run up slowed down for a bit. Of course, some of that was because the value of each share was instantly 1/7th what it was before, but it didn't seem that the rate held up the way it was before the split. Or am I remembering incorrectly?

Thoughts on QCOM retrace to around $100? Doesn't Model T suggest it needs to go back to that level to fill the gap?

December $5 MARA calls were awesome at $2.50. You captured more premium than you paid for the stock and have $7.50 net if it continues a trend. Now that's winning.

The overwhelming sentiment on this thread about the market "not making sense" is a overblown, IMO.

The fundamentals coming into the year, and all then all the way through March, were really good. We shut down about 75% of the economy and lost a ton of jobs, some temporarily, over the next 3 months. Business is back open now and will continue to slowly get back to full capacity by the end of the year.

All of this has happened in a span of 5 months. It's easy to get caught up in the media hysteria, but COVID is simply a blip on the radar as far as the market and the economy is concerned.

The market is forward-looking, and while some business may change because of COVID, I still see it as a temporary disruption in an otherwise fundamentally sound economy.

It wasn't "media hysteria" that spent trillions of dollars to keep the economy propped up artificially.

Problem is our economy runs on consumer spending and even before COVID 70% of people were paycheck to paycheck. Government intervention has helped but millions of these paycheck to paycheck families went months without income. No buying gifts, no paying rent, no vacations. I'm hoping that that doesn't create lagged issues for the economy in 2021 but we will see. Hope you are right.

3.6 and counting yet we all knew it was happening so bullish prevails. Both sentiments are correct. There will be a reckoning for this down the road, just not short term.

Gonna place a $327 SPY Puts for Wednesday. Take my $100/put if we continue upward but even if we get just a retrace to around $327 I can buy SPY against it, unless something crazy hits.
