Question for OA and the more experienced guys. Do you guys put in limits when you buy these contracts? For example, the AMBA call do you set it up so it will sell once it hits $4.50 or do you manually watch and sell at the right time?

Well he set a target for V at 2.50 and sold at 2.41. I'm pretty sure he watches. That's how he predicted the resistance and move lower.

Sold 60% of my V June5 calls yesterday at the peak. The rest are quickly taking a nosedive to sub 1.0. Not sure they get any better...

Advice request: On 5/13 I bought three RUBI $5c for .60 each and I went net free on 5/26. So I'm left with one contract still.

I wouldn't mind adding the 100 shares to my portfolio so should I just wait until expiration and then exercise? Or is the sentiment that there's a good chance RUBI will dip down to 5.60ish again for me to buy in at that price in which case I guess it would be smartest to go ahead and collect the profit from my one remaining contract then buy the shares on the dip?

If your intention is to own and hold those 100 shares, exercising now doesn't give you any benefit and just exposes you to more risk with more capital exposed. I'd hold onto that option and determine what's best just before expiration.

Example 1: Price shoots to $50 a share. You still hold the right to purchase at $5 and you've already paid out the premium for the contract.

Example 2: Price goes down to $4 a share. You're option would expire worthless, you're in the same spot that you've already paid out the premium but now get to purchase that share at $4 instead of $5

Closed out SPY 300P for a small day trade profit and will try to open again before the close

Ugh, was looking at just the last three tops. I gotta get better at picking which trend to look at.

You said target sale at $4.50 on a $60 strike, so I'm guessing you expect the underlying to rise up to $65ish, or at least expect that expectation to be the market sentiment. When you see a channel that way, do you look to straight extrapolate out to find possible price targets at future dates? I'm guessing there's not use of some sophisticated time series model for such quick looks.

It's in an upward trend now so either trade when it hits the top or long hold

I got in @ $0.97 and it's now sitting at $2.70 and climbing. Lots of folks wanting in before any potential news on Monday.

The strategy has been to buy under .3 and sell around .45 to get net free shares to hold. Someone did say they are going to do a reverse split in the future.

I'm not rich so maybe my advice sucks, but exercise it and write covered calls with a nice gain a month or two out, rinse, repeat, until they get called away.

I thought the trial was cancelled or postponed. Is that not that case anymore?
