So just for my clarity, once more...

Expiration at $7.49 is the preferable outcome, because if the puts expire ITM you are assigned the shares at $7.49/share less the premium you collected when you sold the puts. You'd then own the shares at a lower cost and keep the premium.

If the puts expire OTM, your puts are worthless and you only collected the intial premium.

And if the puts expire ITM but below your effective cost ($7.50 minus your premium), you will have some additional amount of unrealized loss because you will be assigned the shares above market value.

Is that all correct?

Yep, so if you're selling puts as a way to enter a long position, it's great if the stock ends just slightly below strike price so you get the shares but are up significantly for your cost base
