Thinking pretty hard on selling SDC May 15 8.5C to drop my cost basis. I don't think we'll get there, and right now it's looking about .50. Bad idea?

Depends on your cost basis and goals. Are you good with 8.50-x as your profit if exercised? If so, give it a try. It's a great way to learn how covered calls work/move from now to expiration. Pocket some premium, or be good with the profit on the sold shares.
Are we going to do same pattern again as yesterday. Higher highs on tighter market and then bleed slow all afternoon?
If NET cups to $26.40 then we likely have seen lows. Would mean holding over the weekend but a close above $26.40 and I'd revise selling 50% to $2.80 and raise target to $3.50 on remaining.
Honestly, no. I think it's going to eventually get back above 10, at least, so if we somehow shot up I'd probably look to buy them back at a loss. I'm only talking 4 contracts here, so it's not a massive position.jtmoney03 said:

Decided to go throw out a line with the 9C at the same date, the premium there is .40. If someone bites, great. If not, oh well.

What would you think about creating a "Trade tips/ideas" thread to the board? That thread would be just be 1 post of anyone's idea and reasoning and no discussion. The same trade tip/idea would be posted in here but with discussion pro vs con like we do now. It would essentially just be a quick guide reference for us to click on and quickly see what everyone is seeing and thinking in a snapshot. I think this would benefit a lot of folks that can't sit on their computers on TexAgs all day. When everyone goes back to work fully, it would allow busy people to just peak in and maybe see an opportunity. It would also benefit people that may miss a trade because it's several pages in the past. This thread has grown in traffic immensely.

I bought some smaller casino stocks after your post yesterday about the NV gaming commission. Am up a solid 10%. Wouldnt have even know this type of information without seeing it here. I think there is a lot more upside. I bought ERI and GDEN. They seemed to still be down more than the others and are primarily in NV.

Yea September 100 calls. I can wait a couple months to get 50%+ from low 60s entry if they're right. I'm patient with this trade and if it turns into a long term trade instead of swing I'm ok with that. Still kicking myself for not entering at 40 like I had planned. That lack of discipline cost me about $7k on a 300 share trade. Still lots to learn. Mostly mental discipline.
