That kind of down move would drag the SPY bigtime. I think SPY is 5.5% MSFT right now.

Curious how that turns out to be a huge market mover. If it's in the money already, it doesn't have to move all that much I feel like. I guess with the $7 premium it would have to drop to $165, but even that is only a 4% dip. I'm sure I'm missing something here being a noob, but not sure what it is.

Overall market sentiment. When you have one of the largest companies in the country have a large enough ER miss or bad guidance to drag their stock down ~4%, it is felt across everywhere. It will create a panic

Wow I didn't even see what it's done since this morning, I took a look at some 75 and 80 strikes in May but didn't pull the trigger. Seems like a winner moving forward though, thanks for that article link.

Practicing my chart reading. Sold some casinos in Shreveport today. Wedge formed since pre-market. Range was $15.60 to $16.85 and consolidated before springing upward at $16.50 area. Guessing a move of at least $1.25 upward. Sitting at $17.65 right now.

Not sure if I'm learning or learnding like Ralph Wiggum here. If I'm wrong and just a lucky azz guess, please call me out on it!

Yeah seems like it has some room to run now until ~$20...I took 10% of my shares off the table at 17.65 to lock in a 15%+ gain in a couple days. Will let the rest ride on earnings next week based off LVS being positive

Most defined technical of course is the V bottom that has now formed a cup and handle. The natural next move is a retest of $290 on SPY and either breakout or fail. The yellow rectangle with midline shows what I was saying about today thus far, although we just punched through $282
