This market makes no sense...

I thought for sure things would be red today because of unemployment news and it's the exact opposite.

I bought LK at $4.18 and was about to sell half at $7 when the halt occurred. There are no lower options to buy protection or write covered calls but premiums for $13 calls to April 17 were at $0.45.


Sometimes things work out as the fill was $7.95 on reopening. Net free in under 15 minutes. Yessir!

And halted again! lol

Unemployment numbers were already factored into the Market several days ago.

The job numbers haven't tanked the market since they were known to be dismal. Every minute we don't drop further the odds move up for a bounce.

Meant to buy 200 shares when it opened, accidentally typed 20, which filled at $6.56

Model T isn't nearly as valid on events like this. I sold half and then a covered call on another 25%. Some big money is buying calls thinking it's going to recover at least within range of that $13 mark, but it doesn't mean they're right. I was on the other side of that trade selling covered calls because who knows?

Just scalped the SPY $250 weekly from $3.25 to $4.08 in and out in 7 minutes. Done for the day.

Of course SPY continues to rise, but I got my money.
