Felt like taking a gamble that its gonna come back up in the next handful of years. I've got 30 years to wait so can pick my spot later.

wow looks primed for a sharp correction this afternoon or maybe tomorrow. Might pick up $10 calls when it starts to flatten out (or before close if it it doesn't)

So I went with a longer spread this round because we either breakdown or recover likely for a longer move. I went March 11 $285's (which is retest lows) and I went March 27 $320 Calls

Meh. It will stink that I didnt hit rock bottom but it will eventually be back above 68 in the time frame I have available.

Not a great industry at all, very cyclical, always hit by news. There are better places to put your money.

really? where? talking about relative value/upside. The Airlines industry will be fine in 6 months. LUV and DAL are best in class.

I have never bought airlines and never will. Too much can happen. Price of oil jumps, terrorism, a crash (by any airline) Dos XX'sVirus, global slowdown. Much more downside than upside IMO.

except for when they're being beaten to **** and we're in a temporary flux that disrupts business. People have short memories and airlines aren't going anywhere. Some weak ones may go away due to corona, but so what? That's healthy for the industry.

I think airlines go from one "flux" to another with very, very little time between the 2. I have never been a fan, even of LUV, even though LUV has always been run well. Too much can happen out of their control. Or out of anyone's control.
