Even trades we enter as longs have things happen. If I didn't have options and after hours trading then SDC and PINS would both have bitten me hard. As it stands I'm green on both from yesterdays close. That's the power of a trading platform.

I only buy shares, but I got in at $13.45 and sold at $13.94 within 10 minutes so I'm happy!

Bought $14.82 and sold at $15.23 yesterday. I just got lucky.

Awesome! Making the decision to pull that trigger tells me you have the stuff! I can't tell you how many people sit staring at a screen going wrong, even when told it's likely going to sell off due to human nature.

Earnings is in 11 days so premiums are spiked out 2 weeks for those who sat on hands. You can get $1.20 covered call for $14 calls which is $15.20 net. Just in case you're concerned over potential further drop. Of course you know if earnings are good the CEO is going to rip NBC a new one talking up the stock.

I am very new to trading options. Had a little success last week and am getting killed across the board this week. For you seasoned traders, did you have a learning curve for a while before you started to be successful or do I just suck at this? Definitely a frustrating week.
