Anyone have thoughts on DIS $147 2/14 (just after earnings) calls at $4.00? Seems like everyone is in wait-and-see the numbers mode on DIS so it's been mainly going sideways. Good time to pick these up?

Just low volume after hours trading and other settlement type trades. Bid/Ask is 1899/1901. If futures are green tomorrow, it'll gap up some.

Yes, I believe for $7.35/share. Theres some litigation starting up regarding the stock price proposed so I'm not sure how far along it is. I've been holding shares for a long play and when I discovered this thread I picked up a couple contracts to see how it goes.

I bought JD 38.5 weeklies near the strong close today in the mid .30s. Great technical set up with rising wedge + 3 green soldiers. Tomorrow can test Friday's high of 38.54. Bust through that and the 40 magnet is in play.

I Just started a week ago with $25K.. Went with some of the stocks mentioned here. Up $1K but it's been a great learning experience having this thread. I can see that with my personality type I need to be careful. I'm spending more time looking at charts and volume and other metrics that I don't fully understand - and eff all at my actual work.

Anyway, thanks for all that post here especially those that mention things like "volume spike", cup and handle, etc. it allows me to look at the stock and try and find what you are pointing out in the thread.

this is my problem. If you don't watch like a hawk you make uninformed decisions. But I don't have time to watch like a hawk. So I am having to rethink my approach.

Same boat here. Playing options, which is what I do throughout the day 90% of the time, you've got to be ready to sell within minutes sometimes. If you get distracted by a call or someone stopping by, you can be down bigly, very quickly.

Yeah I've had to stop doing options so much and focus on stocks for short / medium holds. Work has been too much lately

Same. Was following a trader who was really good but super involved. Switched to a guy who makes a few trades a day and that's it.

Sometimes I'm thankful I've got stupid hours. I'm able to day trade and tinker with options so much because I work from home when not traveling and my real job work is done from 5-9:30ish and 6-9ish in the evening. After that I'm free to play in the market with very minimal distractions. If I have any options during times I travel, I just put limits on them

Yeah, I have also found work to get in the way of option trading. Did well early last summer, but lost all of my gain. But I work for myself and have learned to only trade when I have the time to watch what is happening. Fortunately, I can keep my schedule open most mornings for the first hour or two at least. With that approach, I am back positive.

Futures went red. Hopping around. I'll sell a lot of PYPL options at the open like we talk about all the time.

All heck could break loose in the ME with Israel gearing up rockets and Iran naming all U.S. forces as terrorists. Now that's rich.
