NIO handling the bond news. Underlying buying pressure holding it so far. A lot of analysts biggest concern was NIO's ability to fund its expansion. This might be viewed as a good thing, addressing those longer term concerns.

For long term FY19/20, I think AMD is set to rise in market share due to cheaper and better GPUs & CPUs competing with NVDA/INTC.
Their Zen2 products should take quite a bit of Intel market, considering Intel is continuing with 12nm while AMD has qualified 7nm material. Will be interesting to see how the customers respond after the official releases

I've been following WLL (Whiting Petroleum) and NFX (Newfield ex) for awhile now. There charts prior to the market tanking were really nice. I'm thinking of buying some to just park in the kiddos custodial account. Are these companies in a good position within your industry and would you say their business prospects look positive going forward.

WLL is a Bakken player that I like a lot. Currently own it. After they restructured in late 2017 things have been looking up with them. I didn't add to my position late 2018 as I'm a little sour on O&G right now and there are better plays else well.
NFX is another stock that I've owned but currently out of right now. They're a very good player that plays in the SCOOP/STACK area of Oklahoma. They have a really nice acreage position there. Very solid company.
Another one I would throw in there is CRC. They too have restructured and things are turning around for them. Made a lot of money on them in 2018. The things with. O&G stocks are you're playing the commodity game. Currently, I'm not very bullish on oil price. If the Saudi's ever decide to go public with Aramco they it might be a good time to jump in. The reason I say this is because they will cut production to increase the price for their IPO. I predict they want >$75 oil price.
Since you want to stash it away in your kids funds then it would be a good time to start and hold.

I own CRC, but I own them at a much higher entry than where they are now.
I think they have potential but I am just not sure they can get back to $50 range without oil prices jumping too.

Oh my, I can't give you all of that history but its my 4th largest buys during the S&P 2350 flash down mark. My analysis is that it has yet to make its large breakout move. We need continuation to $25 and it should reach $27 on short squeeze momentum.0708aggie said:
