Premiums on GILD remain high after earnings due to this resistance testing. You can buy shares at $69 and sell a covered call $68 for $2.20 for either $1.25 net gain or lower holding price to under $67.

Just FYI, I got shook out on the 2200s and got back in the 2100s for 2/14. Bad exit and entry on both but should do well anyway.

I might add that this doesn't mean you sell a covered call. I am just saying that if you buy shares under $69 for your first entries then why be scared to hold when you can turn around and sell a covered call that lowers your price or gives you a good gain. As long as we hold about $68.75 you just hold shares.

PSA for anyone who might join this trade, earnings release is on 2/7.
RCL announced Q4 earnings today and missed GAAP EPS by $0.14. However, the SP shot up premarket and gapped up to $122 but has been fading ever since, a bearish sign given that the overall market has been strong.

The puts I bought held on pretty well considering the IV crush and are currently at 1.85. This is why I bought them two weeks out and not weeklies.

Today, I opened a 115/110 put spread (Qty. 20) expiry of 2/21 for $0.70. Max profit of $8600 at expiry with Max loss of the premium paid of $1400.

Will keep y'all posted...
Moment of truth coming for these trades. Bearish penant almost complete. If it breaks below we see 115 quick.

115P down 40% (I had sold some puts against this to lower cost to $2.5)
Put spread up 60%


Closed the 115P for 100% profit
Still holding the spread which is up 300%

I'm guessing you sold naked puts... Roll 'em out another month unless there is a dividend payment coming up.

Or you could do the wheel strategy and sell otm calls at breakeven strike and keep doing that until it recovers.
