At this point we need the earnings announcement to be the top. Any sustained buying tomorrow is bad for the puts. It was more of a gamble than I usually do, which is why I recommend keeping it small in size.

The had good revenue, huge expansion of gross margin, but missed on earnings. Also admitted to significant buybacks. Like most companies over the last year, the bulk of the rise in price is coming from the bid being supported by buybacks. This means companies are spending on supporting the stock with money that before the modern buyback regime, would have spend on capex, M&A, expansion, research, etc.

Easy way to game the system if you have cash on hand. They do have an Investor Day March 5th so possibly a letdown event.

FOMC expectations for tmrw? Pause on cutting.

Market got caught off guard last time when Powell acknowledged POTUS policy in their analysis. Since then, Trumps been trolling Powell on rate cuts, pushing tarrifffs and deporting.

Feel like crashing the market and/or strengthening the USD are Fed moves behind scenes, while pumping economy and calming inflation expectations at the mic.

Wild card might be more Fed opinions on Bitcoin when pressed.

Dang, didn't see SMCI on there and I'm still holding some.

Like I mentioned last week, this is the first time in years that WWR's EMA's are lined up in the right direction, meaning the shortest term on top and longest on bottom. Except one, and its the very longest term I track which is 987. It's the one that acted as ultimate resistance on 4hr candles on the way down. And it's sitting at the 61.8% retrace of the move up off last April's bottom. Sitting around 65 cents. I wouldn't be surprised to see it act as a magnet. But hold in that general area, and I think we see $1.50-$2.00 sometime this year, and possibly higher. Sucks my net free sell target was 6 cents from what ended up being the high, but it is what it is. Maybe we get lucky and the bottom is in and get to that target area sooner. Who knows. Point is, even with this selling back down into the range it came from, it can still be constructive.

ASML quarterly bookings blow expectations out of the water and up 10%.

With TSLA earnings today, Implied move puts it to $367-$432.

I hope the Fed keeps his comments short today.

Reading that the majority of the rebound in NVDA was actually retail buying the dip. If so, if the FED catalyst today sends the market back down, it could be crushing to retail.

Hard to tell what's going to happen. While the zoomed out seems to favor the market getting to new highs, the action off the Monday selloff is leaving the door open both ways. I have a VERY small tranche of SPY puts I bought yesterday. Probably not adding to it. If the market goes long, I have enough positions that will benefit, so probably not adding exposure to the long side either.

Here's one way to play SPX today, but it requires an outsized move..

You would do a 0DTE 1x4 Iron Condor

Buy the 6085 call
Sell the 6090 call
Buy the 5965 put
Sell the 5960 put

Cost would be $75-$100 for one contract. SPX finishing above 6090 or below 5960 would get you a 4-5x. Max loss would be the initial debit.



Now, you would not want to execute these individually, so you will likely have to build it yourself on your platform. Pay attention to the bid ask and do NOT do a market order. And never, never, never close one leg without closing them all. Terrible things can happen.

On the flip side of the iron condor, if you wanted to profit from a move that stayed in the middle, you would get a small credit with max loss about 4-5x your spend.

That tells me this market is pricing in a move that isn't outsized, as there's nothing to gain from betting the middle. So either gamble on the outsized move and be willing to lose it all, or sit the sidelines.
