the problem is that I like to cut quick with profit. Most of the time holding would 3-4x each trade but I can't get it through my head to not take the quick profit, which is OK really.

And when I have held I got that draw down.

yep. I bought the SPX 3820 on the rebound. Quick scalp made $1200. Would have been 46,000 at close.

I don't have time to watch and adjust - day job and such.

I'm the opposite. I trade like i play poker (and negotiate, now that i think about it...), i assume the other side is lying and trying to screw me, so i end up holding past my stops or averaging down too much. Except for this morning when i bought calls 5 minutes in then got stopped out right before we started running.

eventually you will hit one of these. maybe hold with a trailing stop. I know FJ sets a trailing stop and goes into a meeting (granted probably not with 0dte's).

We saw the big doji on SPY daily candles today. Early sign of possible reversal with political gridlock possible and a potentially hot CPI coming on Thursday AM.

I suspect the market may push this back to the 3875-3900 region but my plan is to go short with some OTM put weeklies expiring next Friday and possibly a lottery ticket or two for Thursday.

I'm gonna play contrarian here and project the market to puke instead of rally after midterms.
