Germany apparently entering 5th COVID wave. I need mazag to tell me which way the next wave is going. Full retracement?

Lol the FUD is thick today. Excellent opportunity for whales to unload today.

My friend this morning: the market always gives you a chance to get out. SPY has popped up to that 454 support a few times today. My guess is we aren't done selling yet.

Really low volume today, so it could be retail buying the dip today with a big rug pull in coming days.

Possible trade play. Buy/Write type.

CEI - buy shares at $1 sell then Jan $1 covered calls for $0.20. You either get called out for $1 with $1.20 total (20% gain in 30 days) or a net cost basis of $0.80 if not.

Can also sell the $1.50s for .08/.09 range.

Levels haven't changed. 4500 is a major pivot zone. We either hold it and melt higher toward 5,000 and then follow with a 300-400 point correction, or we break it and open up the downside possibilities which to me exhaust to the low side at 4300 with 4350-4400 being a point im seeing a lot of fib convergence.

The overall S&P structure is only pointing up because of 2-3 major sectors. All the rest failed to get new highs over the last couple of months and are pointing to new 6 month lows first. But those sectors that are holding it up can hold a lot of weight.

Longer term, I think it's actually better if we go ahead and sell off to 4400 here. It would make our next upside target likely higher than if we prematurely rally and melt up again. The market won't be fun trading until it's clearly impulsive again. And that won't happen if we keep melting up in overlapping diagonal formations.

Watching XHB this week (S&P Homebuilder ETF).

The cleanest scenario I'm charting is that it grabs $81.50 - $82.25 range then reverses back downward and bottoms at $75.50 - $77.00 setting up a huge buying opportunity to $99 by middle of next year. That play invalidates if the next move up goes above $82.75. If it invalidates, the upside target likely remains but the structure and timing of getting there becomes convoluted.

I bought some ASO today. They had a good earnings report recently, but have been falling along with the macros. All price targets that I've seen are $50+, and it's sitting sub $40 currently. Good EPS, and PE ratio is fairly low (if you're into that sort of thing). Good long term candidate IMO.

Biden will be tested again Wednesday. Biden was in close contact on Friday, the staffer experienced symptoms Sunday. You are most contagious 2 days before experiencing symptoms. At least that was the original Covid, not sure about the variants. If Omnicron or Delta are more contagious then I am willing to best Wednesday Biden tests negative for Covid. I'm going to buy SPY puts for Thursday expiration.

Forgetting the news, I think the chart is setup perfectly for it. Today we had a gap down below the 50. Tomorrow we gap up and rally back to the 50 day. Wednesday we reject hard which coincides with Biden's positive test.
