SUM was over $18 1.5 weeks ago, don't see why you'd bail out in 2 days?

Initial shock over price falling.

My opinion (don't take this as advice): The daily chart of SUM isn't optimum. It failed to rise above the 200 MA earlier this month and is presently trending in an established downtrend; viz., 50MA is below the 200 (down trend); CCI is <-100 (trending), DMI & MACD are negative; and the last couple days decline came on increasing volume. It's oversold for sure (short RSI < -100), but it can stay this way in a downtrend.

There may be some support (from Nov and Jan) in the low to mid 13 range. Below that, you're looking at the Oct and Dec lows.

If you're short term, perhaps wait for OA's take on the faster ticks. He's very good at identifying reversals.

Gut feeling we pull back into the next earnings season.

I think it's a 50-50 market at the moment. I'm not looking to get aggressive yet.

HEAR up 5.2%. I'm gonna need a tad bit more before I can be happy.

Up again after market. I call bs on the rumor but given the risk/reward ratio with the $1.2 billion ceiling valuation, traders are coming in droves playing it.

Take it with a grain of salt.

AVEO only has ~55 mm in debt, so a buyout in that range would put it at over $5 per share.

So with my luck, this will never happen and it goes back to 0.50.

Price scenarios if buyout News is true
Total shares outstanding are 139 million and assuming the news buyout price between 1.2 billion and 800 million
Scenario one: BO price is 1.2 billion price per share is $ 8.60
Scenario two: BO price is 1 billion price per share is $ 7.20
Scenario three: BO price is 800 million price per share is $ 5.75

That reads like a pump and dump.

That's why I said take it with a grain of salt. I'm not waiting for it to get to those numbers. If I get close to break even I'm bailing. Which is around $1.40

Watching AVEO this morning like...

Watch SUM for Red/Green reversal pattern. Note the building red volume crescendo

So $14.96 to $15.28. Even a day trading scalper would like that.
