What are your hedges ?

We have a 50% retrace Model T on IWM from the recent high to the low this morning. Looking for a bounce here and ending somewhere between 218 (161% fib) and 223 (261% fib), calculated from the low of the day, to finish out this Wave (iv) in the overall wave c of 4.

Missed the session lows for two stocks I've been eyeing...one to add, one to initiate...but they both seem to be drifting lower so we'll see if I buy anything before the close

"Sale days" like this can be great for an investor looking for getting something on the cheap...so long as you remember you don't have to buy anything

Fundamentally, I like the energy reflation story. Over the last 12 months, I doubled my money and cashed out of $EOG (happened quicker than I thought).

I own $HAL right now and it was one of the two stocks I was talking about above...the one where I may add to my position today to round it out to a "full position" (~4% of the portfolio for me).

$HAL doesn't have E&P risk and even managed to make a little money last year.

Just my 2 pesos...

Thinking about doubling down on both. But already in a good position. I like the mid stream sector as it's the most shielded from the fluctuations in the price of oil on the down side.

Totally agree. I own ET outright with a $5.97 cost basis, but it's already a full position so not buying anymore. I'm ok giving up a little upside for proper risk management (diversification).

What now? Take profits? Wait for more downside?

Over the last year, higher highs and higher low. Nice upward channel formed. Go back another year and an argument can be made that it's in an ascending triangle.

Bottom of the upward channel for this week would be the 8.75 range with another touch at the 12.25 range within the month of August confirming the ascending triangle.

This news might be the catalyst to confirm it all for them.

Like most mid stream stocks, I think mid August through October are going to pivotal trading months that tell us what's going to happen. I'm expecting an energy boom across the board by the end of the year. But COVID news and government BS can alter course.
