45 DTE is usually what I like to add and just let it run. I try to capture 30% profit on a pop before expiration.

I've been very impressed with my subscription to simplertrading.com so far. I mentioned a little while back that I did Small Account Mastery Program quarterly subscription. You can tell John is brilliant and watching him go through his decision making process on the trades he makes in the room is really cool.

All of his past live trading sessions are archived and I plan on watching them over the summer when I have a little more time available.

They also have some options educational courses on there. I'm currently going through Options Bootcamp video series. It's good as well.

been sitting on hands a loooooooong time. only moves were to trim some positions to build up cash and take small profits.
but finally bit the bullet on ELOX. small position of 200 shares. Obviously got tip from OA1 but been watching volume after learning from him. If I'm reading right I'm seeing the selling volume drying up.
I want to sell a CC but going to give it a few more days and see if we get a rip up and then I'll sell one.

Of course my luck is I'll wait, no run, get concerned juiced premiums will disappear so sell a CC, and THEN it'll run up!!

How many individual stock positions is too many?? I realized I may be over extended in #'s I'm following.

FYI - I have 74 individual stocks I'm in. 23 option positions and 4 etfs. Quite a few of the stocks are long term holds and/or net free positions. I'm only "actively" trading 7-10 names.

There are psychological levels with VIX. Below 20 is bullish, especially below 18. 20-24 is tread lightly, but I'm this range, a direction is usually chosen quickly. Above 24 and I'm scaling in 20 puts.

My largest win recently was when my alert for VIX > 24 went off. I bought some 20 puts two weeks out. Then as it rose past 26 I dumped a load in. It topped at 28 and quickly came crashing down below 20. It was a 5 bagger.

SPY weekly 5 ma of 418.08 did not hold. If this level is captured and held today then good outlook for the bulls going into next week. High was 418.20 but quickly rejected with no retest of that level so far.

yeah I'm trying to learn....that FOMO bit me on CLOV and XL and to a degree on WWR (first purchase was in 5's but second was in 9s!!! and reduced an okay bit from CCs so net basis in 6s). Luckily CLOV was small position but exited that for a loss. XL is one I'm just going to grind and if I take a loss on it I take a loss. Just using CCs to minimize loss. WWR I believe has more opportunity so I'm sitting on my 200 shares and waiting for a pop to hopefully sell a decent CC.

Most of those are long term holds that are on auto pilot for the most part. (aapl, jpm, lmt, msft, amzn, ba, that, etc).

My "trading" account only has 7-10 names at any time.

If you look left, it has the potential to be up to $24/share.

I don't know that there is a set target for this. Just that it has some smoke brewing - insiders loading up on a whole bunch of shares (maxed out what they could buy under their exec compensation plans, but then also bought more on the free market), institutional investors buying more.

People are expecting a breakout on that.

Just bought shares $1.60 and sold July $2.5 calls at $0.60 on 2/3rds. So basically will be more than net free or lower cast basis to a buck.

eta: cost basis will be slightly more than a buck since I only sold on 2/3rds share, but still!!

this is gambling, but I bought a couple of weekly 05/28 20C in SPCE. They have a launch this weekend, and if it's successful, I think this thing could get moving. Really high premium.

QQQ and SPY both rejected the weekly 5 sma. If this holds up, this is the third week close below the weekly 5 sma. The day is early, and they could close near to it by market end and then be sneaky and gap over it Monday morning. But who knows?
