Baptism by fire. Don't lose hope and keep following this thread. Even paper trade, write trades down on paper and follow them recording profits and losses. You'll learn a lot from this thread.

Thanks for the advice. I have already started following some of the words here and the only thing i'm making a gain on so far has been SUM because of yall, I'm probably only gonna buy what yall tell me to haha.

I'm just a buy and hold for a few months type, not wanting to day trade.

Even if you don't invest real money but are interested in the trade, paper trade it because you'll learn a lot. FWIW, I was a stock broker after graduating from A&M and this board is really good. It's the free flow of ideas and recs without worrying about someone taking advantage of you.

its been a while since ive posted on here. I've been waiting to shoot my shot as the market has been pushing on very strong earnings and I just cant get behind the bull thesis at these levels before a pull back. One thing to note is that these earnings are past indicators on the markets ending December 31st. Economy is still going strong, but we did get a little surprise with jobless claims.

below is my current picture of the market, we almost touched the 200day on SPY and closed basically on the 100 day. The two support areas I'm watching are the pink boxes. (seen below)

besides that, I did find a way to scan for options using TDAmeritrade/TOS for high volume plays and posted the options below. One of the big plays I found last week was the CAH calls below, which was essentially a ~6 milly ER bet that is now worth +8 milly.

Has anybody noticed that trade volume has decreased dramatically as this rally has gone on in the first month? Am I missing something or is that not concerning?

PSX up big after hours after being crushed today. I know all oil and the Market was. But interesting to see it after hours leading up to earnings in the AM. Watch it creep towards 100 by next Friday barring any big news (which I'm sure some political stuff will keep it from happening lol).

Good morning fellow traders! Anyone else officially wash themselves of MNGA yesterday? I ate a fantastic pizza for dinner, got a solid 8 hrs of sleep, took a nice hot shower to rid myself of yesterday's MNGA stink. Totally new perspective in life today

That's since reverse split, inclusive of today for clarification. Still, point taken.

The public offering is priced at $1.25 so the stock trading below that shows how much anger there is in the market.
