Yeah I like it as well. Him , Dan, Ripster, etc. all excellent traders IMO and all with different systems/approaches. Some overlap on technical analysis but each their own process.

They are also all each direct and to the point.

Anyone looked at EBON lately? Premium looks pretty good on selling May and June puts if you are looking to lower your basis. Wish I would have caught this last week when it was sub $4. My original entry was around $6 but sitting around $3.35.

I posted this earlier but finally got time to watch this. John put on a freaking clinic with this one. He held this losing GOOGL trade for 3 wks before it turned but only because he believed the setup was still valid. Final gain was +$5mm, all on debit and credit spreads.

If you have the time this is a fascinating watch in trading psychology and execution

A while back I sold $6 covered calls on MVIS just to get some extra premium. I made the mistake of putting the expiration date so far out... Right after that happened it went on a tear so fast that I could not roll it up and out enough without taking a loss.

Thankfully the day has come where I have been assigned. I lost the trade in that the price for so far in the money but at the end of all of it I have more money in my pocket than I did before.

Lessons learned and on to the next trade

Wondering how much further this will go? Thinking about buying puts. These spikes come and go it seems like. I don't foresee this closing the week higher than today's high - but I could be wrong.

EDIT: I see they don't do options haha

Markets Coiling...Calm Before the Storm...Fed Meeting Starts..62 B 7yrs

Markets are coiling for a big move... Will it start tomorrow after the Fed press conference?... Will treasuries, which Bloomberg this morning called " the MOST MISPRICED of all the Major Asset Classes" start to make its reflationary bear steepening move?... BB said 10 years are 26 basis mispriced from their target ,which we believe is a compilation of strategists, of 1.83... Good luck with that, but we think they are in the right direction.

Inflation is here whether the Fed wants to believe it or not... Whether they want to believe it is transitory or not... It is here... And the bond vigilantes know it, even though they have been tamed over the last month... The fact the 5 year, now .86, could not break .78... And that the low yields were higher and higher after each move, tells us that higher rates are coming in this quarter... As to when they start, it could be tomorrow afternoon, but more than likely about 12-16 hours after the presser... This could be partially delayed for month end allocations, where treasuries will benefit... But by next week the trend should start.

Inflation 2...soybeans, wheat and corn have rallied to 8 year highs. Momentum for the three agriculture products is strong on both global bad weather and increased Chinese buying. Copper continues to move towards 10000... And we don't have to discuss lumber and housing, everyone knows that direction and magnitude. The Fed will try to explain this away or again call it transitory.

Equities... Mixed overnight as the earnings continue to come out strongly... But there are problems worth watching... BofA put out a margin piece showing that when the rate of margin increases by over 60% year over year, equity weakness follows.. S+P 500 struggles when year over year margin buying increases greater than this rate, it is currently at 72%. However, bullish sentiment in this quarters earnings calls is higher than ever, which should help the reflation trade that we talked about above. We do not have a strong view on equities over the next 4 weeks...

High Yield.. More and more stories of corporate money managers going deeper into the credit curve to find yield... We hear it every day from the traders that follow us on the morning call... We got called in to a new client, who we are social friends with and on a board with, yesterday in the city to talk about a new distressed HY fund they are creating... They saw our recent piece that pointed out that this is not the time to buy HY debt in our opinion... And that we expect a shake out at some point, not today by any means... But CCC debt is now YIELDING UNDER 6% AT 5.88...check BB "bcautruu" and ytw...5.88 ...and traditional HY , which is now an oxymoron, is under 4% at 3.94... And this is after 10 year treasuries have moved from .92 to 1.58 from the end of the year to now... They agreed, and asked me to keep them up when my opinion changes...

Speaking of NY City.... Took the train yesterday, first time since January 2020... It was sad.. No one is there... Train was not empty but 15% capacity... No one was walking on Park Ave, on a nice sunny day at 3pm... And even scarier, we went to confirm our reservation at "Bobby Vans", and the guy knew our name, why? Because we were the only ones to have a reservation for last night at any time... We sat outside along the overpass to Grand Central... Between 5PM and 7PM, the amount of people going to Grand Central was so limited in number, that one wonders why some of these places are open... But the food and company were good....

Tomorrow starts the beginning of the next move...

i did a trial of simpler trading last week, but i found myself just too busy with normal work to make the most out of it. i think i would have really found it useful though if i could dedicate the time to follow along.

Sorry don't think I responded to this and missed it.

Entry was $1.20 and currently they are $1.60s.

I use a quick combination of things to set my targets on the fly. Is this the correct way don't know just how I establish when I am fishing solo.

Resistance levels
Model T
Delta
Strike Prices at resistance levels.

First I look at resistance levels to see what I call soft & hard walls as well as Model T. I saw resistance at $11.36 which we passed, MT of $11.58 which we passed, again at $11.90 (which we are now at premarket) and should it get through this area, any push/momentum this early to the next levels of $12.46 then $13.18 get close to $2 ITM. After that I see $14.52, $17.98 and the holy grail of $25.81 which is highly unlikely. $14.50s I think is the high side which would be $3+ ITM.

$9 strikes are close to $3 and these are $11 strikes. Delta is about $0.62 and IV is at 127% so should see a bump on an early push.

I will target $3 ($2+ move from entry) but will go net free on any momentum push (hopefully at open) at $2.40 range and let the rest ride to Valhalla.

Let's just hope it has continuation here. Quick chart and things I noticed. Sorry for all the all the lines at levels that make it hard to see. These show up well on intraday charts for me to see rejection or support.

I was a member early on in my trading, too early to really appreciate what was being given out. They know their stuff there. It's not a "Play by play" scenario, it really is a group of traders mostly talking with a few "here is what I am doing and how I'm going to play this" type stuff being thrown out.
