What the heck is happening to gold and silver? Wow.

In short, no we really can't explain. I think people keep wanting to price in the diminishing returns but that's just my guess.ag94whoop said:
Can someone explain to me why a lot of the BTC miners keep falling despite the 10% rise of BTC?
I mean they are almost all down from the levels they were at when BTC was 53k. BTC is 58K.
They have historically tracked BTC pricing action but seem to be dislodged now....is this all part of the overall slide away from high beta tech?
I think that may truly be the case. Each time BTC falls, and rises back to previous levels, it seems to set new lower levels for the miners. They only surge when BTC beats highs and while some people think that is happening soon, this market sucks for me because I only know tech....and tech is sucking for me now and I am going to have to learn how to analyze and trade other markets obviously.Decay said:In short, no we really can't explain. This is out of my expertise, but I have seen a P/E pitch on investing in some mining operations. You may have to throw chip shortage and energy costs in the mix?ag94whoop said:I think that may truly be the case. miners move with BTC but they move more when tech moves. When both move you have the big explosions.ag94whoop said:good catch. I'm a big fan of selling puts, but it doesn't always make sense if you're just looking to swing something.third coast.. said:

I think we chop all week. by Friday close we were quite over bought, so little pullback and chop makes sense.ag94whoop said:
so are we looking at this push down for all week or do we expect this to spring back later in the week?
I really could use a couple days of consecutive rallies to give me room to reposition.
