Irish, OA - is love input as a minnow

Looking at SDC for yesterday, there appeared to be hard resistance at 8.74 (hit between 1:45 and 2:00p). Looking at selling a Cov Call on it (in 8.71, poorly timed around earnings last time), what's the best way to select my contract date and strike? I'm sure it depends if I want to keep long term vs don't mind getting assigned. Any help either way is great, so I can use it on other trades.

Yeah, I was expecting it and ready to short, but apparently they don't accept shorts until 8 am.

Guess I'll just try and dump my left over calls. Glad they had gone net free. Cheap lesson I suppose.

Yeah, it's the same for me (7am EDT). Apparently it's just short sales that don't get accepted until 8. texagbeliever May be right. Shares are incrementing up on low volume, but they missed by $0.57 on expected $0.19. I think a lot of sell off at the open should be in order.

I'll be ready to enter at the largest volume block I can see in 20 min.

I would expect at least a retest of $113 and possibly higher flash potential, but you never know.

I bought some SPY down premarket because if it doesn't fail from $110 I can get $2-3 quick gains per share BUT if into or after open it's not moving up quickly I'll sell a $300 covered call out to July 17 to marry up with my highest Put of $295. Plenty of covered call premium to bridge the $5 between Put and covered call. Zero loss potential and some good offset gains if we don't consolidate hard.

Yeah, this will be my first too. If you're covered with a call at $5, then the difference between your sale and $5 per share is the most you should lose if it were to run. If you're covered at $2.5, You can't lose money unless you overbuy you're coverage.

Edit: got in at $4. I have calls at $5 strike, so $1 per share should be my max loss.
