When was the last time a B&I post made it on the post of the day board? Prog has potential here!
God no. I would've been eating ramen the first couple years I was learning during my baptism by fire.FAT SEXY said:

Tomorrow will be volatile and Thursday will be down big after the job loss report. We have not hit a bottom yet, it is ridiculous to think so with retracting activity. Regardless of what Trump says, people are not spending money. I personally spend 1500 or so a month in restaurants and my restaurant spend is zero. I probably spend 10K a month on flights and hotels, that is also zero. My uber spending is likely $500 - 1K a month, also zero. I'm not driving around much and I'm not buying clothes, gadgets, and other non essential goods. I've asked my house keeper not to come until at least the end of April (I'm still paying her because it's the right thing to do).
There are a lot of people behaving like me. I'm not getting back on an airplane or visiting customers until this improves, and most companies are going to behave exactly the same, regardless of what Trump says or does. Our economy runs on consumer spending. This will not stop until Trump does the hard thing and commits 6 weeks to a shutdown. New Yorkers have been flying everywhere.
Oh, now he's manipulating the post of the day charts too. Real nice guys, real nice.IrishTxAggie said:

I am wondering what sort of impact India being shut down for three weeks is going to have on the operations of many companies. I know that many companies use Indian outsourcers and captives to conduct some middle and a lot of back office functions, as well as tech projects and tech infrastructure.

I agree with this. Wife and I are dinks and our restaurant spend is/was ridiculous. Our annual spend in that category would pay for a servers annual salary and tips at our most frequent haunt.
And I don't say that to humble brag at all. I point that out as (1) we spend too much damn money at restaurants and (2) to show real world impact of what this thing is doing.
Our restaurant spend is $0 right now. We are cooking everything. Long term this will be good for our bottom line because we won't be going back to our previous care free spending in that category and bad for that restaurant. Granted, we will go back just not like before.

What has caused you to change you restaurant spending habit? Aren't they still open?
For us, it's the fact that each time you go out for food pickup, you're adding a new point of contact to your circle, someone else is around your food and what's to say they're not shedding virus? We've changed our behavior drastically.sellthefarm said:

Late last week, Goldman Sachs predicted that the new claims would spike to 2.25 million, but the EPI count of state-level claims from 35 states and Washington, D.C., already surpassed that figure.

The thing which amuses me in this thread is the people that speak with authority on the subject, like anybody has any idea what is going to happen each and every day.

What a crazy rally. Wonder how long it will last.
Only bought one or two manic positions yesterday and held none over night. All the overnight plays are 2-300%+
I did the same but added to my position with the up opening. I nibbled yesterday on the chance we opened higher.fightintxag13 said:
I bought some Apr 3 SPY puts just before close yesterday, and bought more at 248 awhile ago.
