You're up 40+%, was it for a trade or LT hold?
LT hold, but I'm thinking things are gonna go up and down the next few months so it seems like a good opportunity to some while it's high just in case we go to 15,000 in a few months

LOL love the name above me (sell the farm).

Anyway, I don't know about you guys, but i'm selling my gains right before they vote. For now, I'm happy with one day trades in the 20%-30% profits.

Edit: anyone know when they plan on voting?

Bought Wynn at 52...currently 69. I agree on other casinos but I debating back and forth on selling here

LOL...if I knew what that was then I'd be able to tell you.

I'm using TDAmeritrade but only have 15k in right now.

Bought at 57 and sold today at 69. I'm long on this but my gut tells me it will fall and I can get back in with more shares later.

Yes, you'd have to hold 100 shares because that would equal 1 contract. The premiums on a stock like ROKU are juicy. It's actually a more conservative way to trade/invest and lower your cost average.

You might want to read about covered call writing withTDA and see if it suits what you're trying to accomplish.

DAL debt just downgraded to junk by S&P.

My biggest macro theme in this market is going to be the disaster coming in IG and HY corporate debt. The BBB space is currently +/- 25% of the size of the entire HY space. Obviously all of those BBBs aren't going to be downgraded, but many will which will force some holders of that debt to sell.

Who is going to be the buyer of all that newly junk rated paper and what is that going to do to HY spreads? Are HY investors going to sell lower quality paper to upgrade to the fallen angel? Are there going to be buyers for the stuff they are trying to sell? If HY buyers can't seller lower quality paper they can't raise cash to buy the newly downgraded bonds and that could cause huge loses for the groups trying to sell the former IG paper that was assumed safe? A vicious circle of yield blow outs and losses for bond holders.

This isn't a day trading theme, but is my biggest macro concern/thing to watch by far.

Who around here is of the opinion that we see a power hour selloff?

Also, an interesting snapshot. Oil is ~$23, and XOM is up ~10%, CVX up ~18%.

Interesting times indeed.
HP thinks we could rally this week, but bull trap (constructed by bears) in process. My bet is Thursday Friday they dump.
O&G seems like a big trap, no way the majors should be up like this
Would love some more insight on this. I bought RDS b at an average of around $21. Up about 50% since then. I'm long on it but could also take a good profit now...

Crude is only up $3-4 off bottoms (15% or so) and yet RDS/XOM/CVX are all running up 30-40% over the past week. I'm sure of this is that it flashed down too far, but it just seems that oil is still in a very bad place and doesn't lend to such a run on these majors, especially with the CAPEX cuts being announced.

As someone who works for RDS and has quite a bit of stock at much higher prices than this, I sure hope it's sustained but I wouldn't be surprised to be back in the high 20's by end of week

This is from a different thread and I don't have the time to verify it but here you go.

Victory Is At Hand. Nancy Pelosi is surrendering and the Senate bill does not include her 13 point spending wish-list. Both sides say a deal is imminent.

The Senate vote is expected on Tuesday night, and the House will approve it by voice vote. What it includes and omits.

President Trump "Congress must approve the deal, without all of the nonsense, today.

"The longer it takes, the harder it will be to start up our economy. Our workers will be hurt!"

At noon on Tuesday, both the Republican and Democratic leadership said they were very close to a deal on the $1.8 trillion coronavirus economic package.

White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham said "President Trump told Congress to send him a bill that protects our economy, your job, your retirement savings, and your family's future from this global pandemic."

She said Speaker Pelosi wanted to put "a liberal donors' wish-list before helping the American people.
"None of the things Pelosi was requesting were about rescuing our country and economy. They are about trying to rescue one thing: a failed partisan agenda."

The Senate bill will not include the following Pelosi provisions:
* 1) Restrictions on the Border Patrol and ICE
* 2) Work permits for illegal immigrants
* 3) Airline carbon emissions offsets
* 4) Corporate diversity requirements
* 5) Collective bargaining for Federal workers
* 6) No mention of eliminating voter ID requirements or 'ballot harvesting' provisions
* 7) An additional $25 million for Congressional "salaries and expenses"
* 8) Expanded wind and solar credits
* 9) Bailout of the Postal Service debt
* 10) Green New Deal climate change regulations
* 11) Aid to community newspapers
* 12) $35 million for the JFK Performing Arts Center
* 13) $300 million for Public Broadcasting Corp

The Senate bill will allow the Treasury Department to extend $500 billion in loans and loan guarantees to try to blunt the virus's economic impact.

The major "concession" Democrats received is something President Trump believes is a good idea.
Republicans agreed to allow enhanced scrutiny over the loan program and it will include an Inspector General, an oversight board as well as Congressional review.

Regarding the $500 billion in loans, $425 billion is supposed to go to businesses, cities and states.
Another $50 billion would go to passenger airlines, $8 billion more for cargo airlines, and an additional $17 billion would be directed for firms that are deemed important to national security.
