This talk about high 20s and low 30s at the end of 2017 is silly. This is the stuff that always happens when prices make a run down (or up)...people start talking about extremes. All of the doom articles start coming out because thats what people want to read. The truth is less exciting...average $45-55 for a while.

the mean over the past year or so maybe 18 months seems to be $55ish. Just eyeballing the chart. I suspect we revert back before advancing much further.

I do too. I don't see the high 60s on the Brent sustaining once Saudi IPOs. They want their cash to diversify and then I think they'll ease off on their cuts.

$64.49. Production fell by 290,000 barrels a day to 9.5 million bpd. The EIA expected US production to hit 10 million bpd. I'm sure they are pissed about it. The drop was probably due to the extreme cold weather as gasoline inventories rose, probably b for the same reason but that didn't even get a sniff. The OPEC minister expects market balance by years end and is still committed to the cuts until it is achieved. Both Iran and Iraq cut prices to remain competitive. Still, China's growth should keep prices firm in the near term.

anyone have any idea why CSI Compressco (CCLP) jumped 20% this morning? i have felt that they were undervalued, but saw their jump today and can't find any news or releases to support the jump
