For those expecting a correction: do you think it will happen regardless of Feds raising rates or were/are you expecting them to raise rates even with current unemployment?

For everyone: do you think either of the two highest profile Fed chair candidates - Summers or Yellen - raise rates? Or would be keep them low unless high inflation hits or unemployment drops?

Not to make this political, but this president can't be perceived to fail in any manner whatsoever. He is masking a weak economy with a great stock market. No way one of the bright spots of his presidency will be allowed to lose some of its shine. I say the rally and QE continues. Of course, I wish I would have been more informed when I pulled the bulk of my money out 20% or so ago.

Historically speaking, September has been a bad month for the stock market. Only two weeks away and there's talk of taper (again).

Not really sure. I think the correction is coming...although I've been saying that for a long time, and missed out on 15-20%...so if I say it long enough, I'm bound to be right.

This propped up economy and shady unemployment numbers will catch up with us eventually, and in a big way. I think the market is waiting for a big negative catalyst. I think the big boys are taking their gains, and setting up to make big money on the way down. A 20% drop isn't out of play in my mind...maybe more.

Something is up today though, and not sure what it is. Pretty rapid 100pt drop and an 8% turnaround in the VIX. Actually working a little today, so I haven't been keeping up.
