Totally agree feels like I stepped back in Texas. That mac and cheese is amazing, along with the cornmeal battered okra. Only disappointment was the elote. Reminds me of Pit Room in Houston.

Next time I'm going to try the tacos, and maybe that 1lb sandwich with all meats on it.

For a more Nashville feel, I'd recommend Post Brewing. I was pretty impressed with their fried chicken and collards. I went to the one in Lafayette.

As the crow flies, you aren't far away at all. We've got some varied terrain and a bit more elevation. I wonder if that's the difference?

We're at 6k feet, so maybe a little lower than CP.. I didn't think it was much though. It's all relatively high down here (castle rock/pines/Parker) as compared to denver anyway.

I don't see that going over well during the winter, especially if they ban skiing. I was able to mountain bike a ton during the spring / summer and there was hiking and stuff. During the winter that would just be straight up miserable.

Just an update we did go up and check things out and we decided against LoDo. Thank you for suggesting that. We move next Friday!

Boulder runs the state and at one point hadn't voted down a tax in like a decade straight. As Boulder goes, so will most of the state follow.

Lockdowns seem eminent, talks of curfew, and fines for protesting. Already a 25% increase in unemployment in Denver due to the more restrictive policy enacted last month.

All this in response to exponential increases which are happening GLOBALLY, regardless of policy.

I will protest. I will defy orders. I will support the Wyoming economy. This is all complete bull*****

Polis just said that he is not in favor in doing another lockdown, unless the overflow hospitals start to fill up (they haven't been used at all yet). Hopefully he doesn't deviate from that like he did with some of his previous statements / actions.

Boarded at Keystone this weekend and there is talk of Summit County shutting down skiing for the time being. They said there is a meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) to discuss the outcome, which is why you can't reserve any days past friday in their reservation system even though you are supposed to be able to a week out.

From what I can gather, they are discussing shutting down operations through the end of 2020 and revaluating for January.

I've got my snowshoes, ordered my Daymaker Alpine Touring adapters, and going to get skins this weekend. I'm ready for backcountry!

But I've got friends from Texas trying to plan out their Thanksgiving trip to Breck, which sucks for them because they still can't buy lift tickets or reserve skiing. People already spread out in lift lines due to 6' skis, group with friends they are staying with, and wear face coverings because it's cold. There is no scientific evidence that covid spreads in lift lines.

All the spread is in lodging within groups, or within groups of employees that live together. This is beyond dumb.
