If you're flying frontier out of DFW, be prepared to be pissed off and wait quite a while, while waiting to try to drop off bags.

Have you tried calling ahead? It's possible they can leave them in a locker or something on the way into the mountains.
Where are you skiing?
quote:My buddy lives in Evergreen so we are planning on a day trip to both mountains. Skiing Winter Park on a Friday, staying at his house, and then going to Copper Saturday morning for the day. This will be his first ski season living up there so maybe we are foolish for driving to both resorts, not really sure, we are just looking to try out different mountains and figure out what we like.
That's a pretty good hime between those two resorts. Be careful and pay attention to the weather when driving.
I know nothing of that website but seems like a good idea. Are you spending the night at Copper?
quote:I didn't think about a store like that, I was focused on ski shops but that makes sense. We will look into that as well.quote:

I don't agree. Sports authority, Christy sports.. These places are retail and open until 9-10pm. They rent skis, and in Denver are much less than the mountain.

Clearly I am noob at skiing Colorado, I normally just ski the ice in New Mexico. What would happen if I rented from Sports Authority in Denver and I broke a binding or something? Do they have a deal with shops at the mountains or am I basically screwed until I drive back to Denver?
quote:1 is boring, but interstate.
I'm driving from Denver to Waco on Saturday. Any recommendations on route? Google shows 3 options:
1) i70 to i35
2) i25 to Amarillo to Wichita Falls via 287
3) i25 to Amarillo to Lubbock then through Abilene
The first options seems like the simplest but its almost 100miles further. Interstate all the way would be nice though.
quote:Oh, I know. Just making the point that the entire state isn't worth much, unless you're actually going to KC. Ha!
You don't drive through KC from CO to TX.
