Wife and I recently bought a timeshare at grand lodge on peak 7, breck. Best perk is we get to stay there for hella cheap any day of the year. Like $60-70 spring summer fall and $100 winter. (Sleeps 4)
So I see us going there a lot more. I still have one pass left over from last season tha is good until dec. I just pay as I go; I have a hook up for employee pricing at Vail resorts, which is about $55, and I don't ski enough to get a pass at that price.

I just got my job offer on Monday. I'm headed up this weekend with the wife to look at houses and will start on 10/13. Very excited to be moving away from OKC.

I got a winterpark/copper pass with 6 days at steamboat & 3 @ crested butte. Still want to check out breck but can't justify spending 550 for the epic local when the other one only costs 300, and I do love steamboat.
dbtexasag05

Jock...steamboat can be tough to get to in winter.

I would do the 550 and go to Breck but that is a personal opinion. I think you'll spend more in gas and time on the road.

Yea I did it last year too. I go up there for a week, so I'm not driving back and forth, buddy's in laws have a place up there as well. It is a drive, bout 4 hours from here, but still better than the 10 hours I was used to having to drive to big sky from North Dakota for 4 years. Crested Butte wasn't on the pass last year so looking forward to checking that out.

Is anyone looking to hire on an engineer with Oil/Gas experience? I've worked for the past 2-1/2 years on offshore drilling equipment with NOV and I'm looking to move from Houston to Denver. I've applied to approx. 25 job postings with no response (probably due to the fact that they're internet postings).

just got back from a weekend of house hunting in Littleton/Arvada/Morrison/Lakewood/seems like everywhere else and had our offer accepted yesterday while we were driving back to OKC.

We will be in Littleton off S Simms and Coal Mine. Closing on the 31st right now. Very excited to have that part behind us.

I just bought a condo in Breckenridge, and I'm officially pumped for ski season.

I was there last week, and it's beautiful this time of year. I came back through Boreas Pass, which I highly recommend if you want some amazing scenery and don't mind a little off-roading and semi-scary driving.

I'll post details on the condo at some point in case anyone here wants to rent it.... I'll offer a TexAgs discount.

I posted in Travel as well but figured you Denver folks might have more experience:

We are looking to book a flight to Denver 2nd week in December. We will be flying from DFW. I have been watching the prices on American for a couple of weeks. Right now to fly out on a Thursday leaving DFW at 5:30pm and departing from Denver on Sunday at 1:20pm it is $194/person, roundtrip. Does anyone who makes this trip regularly think this is about as fair as I can get on American? I hate to push my luck and it never comes back down to this price.

Thanks!!

You said $194 for roundtrip? Not each leg? That sounds great to me.

Not an expert, but I was stalking fare prices through Southwest for October, and $120ish was about the lowest PER LEG. I'd be happy with that price.

That's what I was thinking. Seems like less than 400 total for the both of us is a good deal. I am going to book it.

Thanks!!

That far in advance, DFW to Denver shouldn't be bad. Spirit (not for me) and Frontier (frequent flyer) are the cheapest ($120-175 + bag fees), with AA carrying a slight premium after the other airlines' bag fees are considered.

Less than $200 RT from Houston is a good deal. Dallas is typically cheaper than Houston, but that is still a good deal.
Weekday dallas to denver you shouldnt pay more than $50-75 one way.
