Great game, happy we get more baseball… but that pitcher just completely imploded after the error. Not missing any bats. Then manager was playing for tomorrow after he loaded the bases and was going to hang him out there.

I know he hasn't done great at-bat this series but we are so fired up and proud of Ryan Vilade and his family. Aggie related because his little brother Trent is a freshman Fighting Texas Aggie pitcher now!

Curious what the Rays do pitching wise tonight. They threw out a bunch of people last night. Rasmussen on short rest + his elbow issues? Martinez pitched last night. Peralta just pitch a couple of days ago.

Brewers have Miz tonight and need him to go 5+

Let's go Rays! Muy related because I lived in St Pete in the early 90's when the city thought the Giants were going to relocate. The Lightning played in this crap stadium, and the Rays showed up later.

Plus just took my boys and their fiances to the area to soak in some good memories.

They had issues yesterday too. It has nothing to do with Miz. It's a garbage field that wasn't prepared for the World Series.

As an old fastpitch softball coach who has fixed some mounds his day, just dumping some mound clay into it and tamping it won't cut it for long. You have to address the base and that takes some effort

Yes. My point is they've screwed themselves by not addressing it better before the game. These mid-game bandaids will have issues, as they have already.

Exactly. I was wondering if mixing in some bentonite with the existing clay wouldn't help also.

It mostly requires getting every bit of that loose **** out of there. You brush it down to just pure, firm clay and likely dig a fair amount of that out too. Then you gradually build back with layer, tamp, layer, tamp, then with sufficient time to dry. But that ship sailed
