My son's school district is having fall break this year for the first time. We are heading to California next week..a few days in San Diego and then a few in Los Angeles. My son has been wanting to go to a game at Dodger's stadium...found out that the first two games will be while we are in LA...just grabbed tickets for game two.

Can't wait to surprise him that I got the tickets.

I hate the Dodgers, but love Dodger Stadium. I have been a couple of times already, so this one is for my son.
I was in the room here one day... watchin' the Mexican channel on TV. I don't know nothin' about Pele. I'm watchin' what this guy can do with a ball and his feet. Next thing I know, he jumps in the air and flips into a somersault and kicks the ball in - upside down and backwards... the dang (sc) goalie never knew what the hell hit him. Pele gets excited and he rips off his jersey and starts running around the stadium waving it around his head. Everybody's screaming in Spanish. I'

My experience is that Dodger Stadium is old, hasn't been well cared for, surrounded by a parking lot that's a beech to get in and out of.

But you'll be with your surprised son and that tops all the negatives.

Those are the exact thoughts of me and my family after we went to a game there this summer. Dodger Dogs were the only thing that lived up to my expectations.

Dodger stadium is heaven. First went there in 1978 with my grandfather. Hard to believe it's now the third oldest behind Fenway and Wrigley. I've been to all 3 and they are all awesome in their own right!.

I have the 1978 ticket somewhere tried to find it but couldn't and stumbled across this one-




One of the bad things about electronic entry to stadiums these days is there is no ticket to collect!

Yes, thanks for the correction. I have tickets to series game 4, Oct 15...the second game in LA.


I went to Dodger Stadium in 1980 and again in 1989. Been a long time, but I remember loving it both times.

I took my son to Wrigley last summer and got a foul ball. That was my first time inside Wrigley. Was there in early September of 1998 but couldn't get in, was the year Sosa and McGuire were going for the homerun record.

I really want to make it to Camden and Fenway.
