My fun topic to add to the ancestry.com Astros page… I met an older lady at my son's baseball game the other day wearing a "yak se mas" hat and pointed it out to my dad. They got to talking, she was our coaches mom, and turns out she was from the same area as my grand parents. Names got dropped and many tie ins were discovered. That night she went home and traced the ancestry and come to find out were related through some distant tree branches crossing.

So now the running joke is calling each other cuz. The boys get a kick out of it!

Baltimore's OF is crowded. They have Cowser, Mullins, ONeill, Laureano, Carlson and Kjerstad. I wonder if they'd be willing to part with Cowser or Mullins for pitching and prospects.

I said the same thing during the season last year because it made so much sense. I know I am showing my age with this reference but Jerry Glanville said that Oilers GM Mike Holovak liked draft picks better than sex. I get the same vibe with Elias and prospects.

They have a bunch of guys hurt that I assume are on the 60 day. Guess they trade them all for stud prospects whenever they are back.

But guys on the 60 day at the end of the season have to come off and go back to taking a spot on the 40 man.

I officiated 2 of his games in high school. Incredibly good young man. His dad is the HC and is fantastic as well

I was always upset we didn't land him at A&M. I remember hearing there was interest from him but we got in too late on him due to Kyle/Kyler transferring

Jalen coming off the bench in the SEC championship to help them come back and win against Georgia is one of my all time favorite sports moments involving a team I don't pull for.
