It is possible that Bregman went to Boras and told him to get him back to Houston. Now that it is apparent that $200M or close to it isn't on the table.

Bregman doesn't make sense. If you have the payroll room, you get a cheap LH OF and spend the funds on a leverage relief arm and call it good.

Seems like there would be more risk of injury if Altuve was in the OF. That would also make it much tougher to get on the All Star team and earn Silver Sluggers.
