I found a fun buy-low candidate for the OF.
Alek Thomas
He spent most of 2024 injured and was later demoted to AAA. When he did play, the left-hander only managed a .283 wOBA vs. RHP. For reference, Jake Meyers had a season-long wOBA of .285.
Why would we want him?
He had one of the largest gaps in expected results vs actual results.
wOBA vs RHP: .283
xwOBA vs RHP: .355
To give a .355 wOBA some reference - the following guys were +/- .006 in 2024. Teoscar, William Contreras, Jerren Duran, Riley Greene, Jackson Merrill, & Stven Kwan.
It's a small sample. Maybe it isn't real, maybe it is. Going back to '22-'23 - he was slightly under league avg vs RHP. Even a league-average high-level center fielder would pair nicely with Jake.
2022-23
Alek vs RHP - .307 xwOBA, 89.4 EV, 3 LA, 42.5 HH%, 5.5 Barrel%
Jake vs LHP - .269 xwOBA, 87.8 EV, 14 LA, 34.1 HH%, 4.7 Barrel%
2024
Alek vs RHP - .355 xwOBA, 92.6 EV, 5 LA, 51.7 HH%, 6.9 Barrel%
Jake vs LHP - .313 xwOBA, 89.4 EV, 14 LA, 44.8 HH%, 8.3 Barrel%
It wouldn't be sacrificing defense as Thomas is a +8 FRV in his 3 year career.
He's in his last year of pre-arb so he's still young, cheap, and worth a flyer IMO.
