By far my favorite Rangers podcast. That being said....
Those guys really need to sh*t or get off the pot. A two month layoff DURING THE SEASON? I can understand it during the off-season, but how do you go two months without a single one and maintain any sort of momentum or grow your audience....it's clearly not a priority for any of them, and it's a shame because when they do actually decide to record one, it's typically got great info in it.

That is my first time hearing their podcast. Pretty enjoyable. I've always liked that they report on what they know and see, rather than just report information. The Leiter conversation is an example when they indicate Taveras caused his ERA to balloon in one game. Not an excuse for his era, but a realization that you really have to look at prospects beyond the numbers.
Favorite line: "Banners fly forever."
Funny that they mentioned Rosario and DE. I was going to craft a post on their SP overall, but decided it was too early.
At that level, traditionally, you have double to SPs and they start the season with 2-3 IP and stack. So, you have:
SP1 (Inning 1-2) SP2 (3-4) and then they start to stretch them out after a couple cycles:
SP1 (Inning 1-3) SP2 (4-6)
So, when is a good time to jump in and see what you have?! Now is when I start to look at the numbers... and start to monitor. But, I've always had to rely on input from guys like Lucas to get some perspective.
So, here are the numbers (in order of IP):
Mendoza (20): 7GS, 10G, 2.61 ERA, 1.210 WHIP, 41.1 IP, 44 SO, 3.3 BB9
Gonzalez (22): 4GS, 9G, 1.16 ERA, 0.870 WHIP, 38.2 IP, 52 SO, 1.6 BB9 12.1 SO9
Davalilo (21): 8GS, 9G, 1.88 ERA, 1.017 WHIP, 38.1 IP, 35 SO, 2.1 BB9
Curtis (20): 5GS, 9G, 1.94 ERA, 1.108 WHIP, 37.0 IP, 32 SO, 4.6 BB9

Drake (23): 4GS, 8G, 2.25 ERA, 0.969 WHIP, 32.0 IP, 51 SO, 2.0 BB9 14.3 SO9

Gates open at 1:30pm today (1.5 hours early for day games).
