To sum up the game, we get doubled up on a non-infield fly call and then the As get a bloop double to CF in the 9th inning.

Brutal - series in Houston is going to feature two teams who are going to pretend the last three days didn't happen (well, maybe last five days for us and two weeks for HOU).

On radio they said it wasn't enough of a routine play to call infield fly. Whatever.
Losing 16 of 20 last season was unacceptable. Will Smith and Chapman blowing nearly every save chance they had the 2nd half of the season was unacceptable.sburg2007 said:
Losing the series to Oakland was unacceptable. Who knows what will happen in Houston?

It has to be a routine play with ordinary effort. The 2B charging in to make the play was not that, despite the umpire starting to signal it before waiving off. Definitely frustrating from a runners perspective. Literally nothing you can do there, which is exactly the point of the infield fly, to protect the runners
