You can't get it through YTTV. You would need cable, Directv, Fubo, or the Bally Sports App subscription.
Pretty sure the Bally sports app doesnt work for Rangers
I have Directv, so I don't know for sure. But I thought the Bally app worked, but you had to pay for a Bally subscription (if you already have Directv, the Bally app works without the extra Bally sub)? I might be wrong on this. But the Bally app worked for me on the phone last year, via my Directv sub.

Bally subscription only gives you access to Mavs and Stars.
It worked for you because you have ATT/Direct TV
Nope, they have the Rangers too. The Wings as well, whoever they are. I think they backup Paul McCartney.
You are wrong

Gray is also a middle to back end of the rotation pitcher. He's going to have games where he goes 7 shut out innings with 97 mph stuff, and he's going to have games like today where he gives up 4 earned, 3 walks and have only 2 Ks. It's what separates him from deGrom, Eovaldi, etc.

I would personally go with Sborzy as closer but I'm sure it will take several blown saves for Boch to do it.

Leclerc seems to ride the wave of emotions. It can spiral really quickly on him.
We'll be alright. Go to Tampa and see if we can take that series

Tough loss, peak LeCkerc, but we won the opening series and the main rival in the division got swept in 4 games. Not a bad start to the season

Same. Kind of strange he's moved to a 6/7th inning guy coming off closing Game 5.

every inning is important, and if you have a guy that can lock down any of the 6th-8th innings that is pretty huge

Agreed but it doesn't matter if your 9th inning guy can't close it. Your most reliable reliever needs to be your closer imo and it's not like Sborz doesn't have experience doing it. Until our starters get stretched out I'm sure we'll be having this debate often. We just don't have the BP depth currently. Hopefully Urena and Yerry can contribute consistently like they did today and guys like Church light it up in AAA and help in the coming months

What if you give up 4 in the 6th,7th, or 8th? Then it doesnt matter if your 9th inning guy is lockdown

If you give it up in the 6/7/8 your offense still has a chance to get it back over the remaining few innings. Why are we arguing this? There's a reason why closers get the biggest contracts and, like last year, this team currently doesn't have one. Sborz, to me, is the best option.

Nothing infuriates me more than losing because of walks. We walked 9 cubs today. The pitching was terrible in giving up 12 hits in addition to those 9 walks.

I'm glad Leclerc's era got blown up. He deserved it. Guy wouldn't trust his stuff and pitch with conviction like he did during the playoffs.

Oh well…..we won the series and the cubs are a pretty good team so I'll take it.

Just saying you cant just assume someone can come in in the 9th and lock it down, even if they are great in earlier innings.
Even in game 5 like you talked about, he didnt only pitch the 9th.
You often can ruin a good thing by tinkering with where they are effective., but I would agree I have more trust in Sborz than LeClerc right now. Its just when Leclerc is on he is nasty.

Moving on from the Astros (at least until later in the week).

Next we have three in Tampa, Dunning vs. R. Pepiot tonght. Don't know much about Pepiot, he has 10 career starts (over 2022 and 2023). After Dunning, we have Heaney and then Eovaldi up next in the rotation.

Then a day off on Thursday followed by a four game set against the Astros in Arlington.

Pepiot was a part of the Glasnow trade, and knowing both the Dodgers and Rays, he's going to have very good stuff and will likely develop into a very solid if not good starting pitcher.

He's got a mid 90s fastball, a changeup and slider. My guess is that the Rays have worked with him on some stuff, so he may be a bit different than he was with the Dodgers.

Sub 3 ERA in time in majors over last two seasons. K:BB ratio is about 3:1.

Good young pitcher.

I know we have a good thing going at the moment, but I really wish the Rangers could swing a trade that included someone like Pepiot in it. The Rays had Glasnow wanting to leave, who is a big time pitcher, and look to be re-tooling so-to-speak, so the Dodgers had to give up something to get something, but gosh would it be nice to insert a mid 20s starter with upside into our rotation.
Mr Gigem

We have several of those on the way - Leiter, Rocker, Porter, etc.
Tksymm7
How long do you want to ignore this user?

Yes, but it would be nice to have that guy in place now. As we have talked about here before, after this year there will be quite a few questions about pitching, so having someone in the mold of Pepiot on the roster now would've been nice, because it allows us to bridge a gap.

Could Leiter be that guy, sure, but he's still got to go prove it for probably half a season or so, and has not pitched at the MLB level yet.
Mr Gigem

Let's see how Pepiot is this year once he gets a full season under his belt. I agree he is a good young talent, but he has very limited action up to this point
Tksymm7
How long do you want to ignore this user?
AG
I agree, and I don't want it to come across as if I think or know he's going to be some all-star caliber pitcher (although the Rays develop that all the time). I just would like to have someone with even his 80 innings and young with upside, in the rotation.
DallasAg 94
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I think Glasnow wanting to leave and Tampa needing to get rid of him are probably equal.

Like deGrom, Glasnow is often injured. Phenomenal stuff, but can he remain healthy... and like Kershaw... can he be available when you really need him... like the playoffs.

Pepiot was among a stable of young SP the Dodgers have that are likely 1-2 years away. They were able to trade him because they have several others there with him and they needed something in 2024 believing that Ohtani would be available in 2025+

Pepiot has had limited MLB time, let's see how he does today. My guess is, he'll blow through the lineup once... and start to get hit 2nd time through.

As mentioned, he likely has a new tool or two from being with Tampa... AND... playing in that stadium.

Did any of yall see after the game yesterday Gray came out and said his arm felt weak? He didn't pitch much in the spring, so not surprising but also not what you want to hear from a guy we need to be solid.

DallasAg 94
How long do you want to ignore this user?
No.

Weak like there is a problem or weak like... he hadn't built up enough?!

He threw 27 PC in the 1st, if I counted correctly. That's a ton of pitches in the 1st Inning... and the 1st Inning of the 1st G.

His path back has been something to watch. He came back last season and was available to pitch postseason. Hopefully he didn't hurt anything in coming back.

I think like many of the post-season pitchers, we should expect a slow start. His slow ramp in ST was probably more about coming back from his injury having not fully worked through a return the way you'd expect if not for the playoffs.

Hoping he'll ramp up and stay healthy.
DallasAg 94

He was put on the 15IL on March 25th, so he can't return in that timeframe.

AFJ most likely.

Not an April Fools joke... we opened up the ability to use the TexAgs coupon code for the Friday and Sunday games against the Astros.
