20+ yr CEO/Acct Rep of one of the distributors like Ben E. Keith? Maybe.
Someone who has watched/listened to 150 Gm/Yr for 40 years on TV/Radio? No.

Replicas (Ring/Trophy) will look fine next to my miniature Stanley Cup, but the real ring seems undeserved.

Lol you may be right in the short term, but Leody has a higher career WAR than Jankowski and Jankowski has played like 8 more years. Why is everyone ****ting on Leody so much? He might not be an all star and he might get off to a slow start this year, but he's a solid MLB player

Fair. I suppose I'm just getting frustrated with him sucking since the first half of last season and Janko being great in his limited opportunities. Our depth out OF is too great to fool around with Leody too long. Hope he turns it around.

I have the same attitude. Lots of fans really eager to get rid of the guy when CF was a black hole for years.

He's 25 years old and looks like a freaking Byron Buxton starter kit. He very well might not ever get to that level, but he is a very good talent. And he fits in the clubhouse, which is a big deal.

He batted .233 with a .641 OPS in the 2nd half last year and then proceeded to bat .175 in the postseason. He hasn't been average or above average since June of last season. Last night he couldn't even get a sac bunt down….

Im not quite ready to give up on the guy but after looking at his splits for his career every season he's dropped off BIGLY when June/ July comes around.


Now that Langford is here the pressure is on for him to turn it around.

Good lord. Taveres has basically played 1 1/2 years as a starter. In that time, he's hit .264, with 25 SB, 19 HR and 101 RBI. That's pretty damn good for a 9th place hitter. Not to mention he's a gold glove caliber fielder.

Here's a news flash. The Rangers aren't going to have all-stars top to bottom in the lineup. I'll take a guy who plays great defense in center, hits above 250 with a bit of power and can steal a base at the bottom of the order every.damn.day.and.twice.on.sunday. I'm old enough to remember all of the stiffs we've rolled out in CF - Gary Pettis, Cecil Espy, Damon Buford, Laynce Nix, Juan Beniquez. etc.

We could do one hell of a lot worse than Leody in CF. Rant over.

Catcher is a little bit different of a position of value than outfielder. But you already knew that.
